Rolle Likely Out

If Rolle is out all that means is the Ravens must step up and stop the Steelers running game even more. Rolle's absence would show up most on play-action passes set up by the running game...that is how the Steelers got all the downfield plays against the Chargers. The Ravens are as aggressive as the Steelers and can be burned by them.

As far as Suggs, even if he does play, how effective can he be with a brace on his shoulder? And he's going to take a lick from someone, a Steelers offensive lineman, someone like Heath Miller, maybe even his own teammate the way they fly around, then what?

Losing Suggs, with Antwaan Barnes already injured, means 2 starters missing from your LB core and 2 starters from the secondary. As great as your defense is, the Steelers could not sustain losing Harrison, Woodley and Ike Taylor (our equivalents).

The bottom line is, the team that runs the ball and can force turnovers will win this game, injuries or no injuries.
Looks like we are pretty much screwed for this game.
Not realy. Walker has proven to be very resourceful. He's a better hitter at 190 lbs to Rolle's 175 lbs. His cover skills have greatly improved working under Chuck Pagano. If Washington goes down, which he has been proned to do, then we'll have Cory Ivy at one corner and Frank Walker at the other. Might be a better setup for Pitt with better tacklers on the edges but losing a little in coverage.

COMMON!

WE CAN TAKE-UM LIKE STAKE-UMS!!

DUDES!!!

WE CAN TAKE-UM!!!!
my only issue with Walker is he is very susceptible for Hines to get into his head. If this game is decided on that kind of call it would be so much of a disservice to the game.
Just curious,,,how do u know if Frank is suceptable to letting Hiney get in his head?
I honestly do not think Hiney can get into any RaVens head, moreless Franks.
We will be in his head if anything.

I find it highly unlikely any Raven is going to get into Hines Ward's head. The guy smiles all the time.

And IMO...Washington has the best matchup for the Steelers in coverage. He has very underrated speed (he is faster than Holmes).

And who is going to cover Heath Miller with Suggs less than 100%? Might play a major role in this game that no one is talking about...

from what i have seen Hiney gets into any teams players head. Walker is not as cool/experienced as Samari. He has also been a little bit of a hot head. So i think it would not take too much for a BS flag to be flown in Pittsburgh.

But my point was I would hate for this game to be decided on that that kind of call...I still believe though that this game will be decisively over one way or the other.
Ok, all the negativity??? As fans we should have confidence in our own team, if we don't how can we expect anyone else to? Don't count us out before we even start, your worse then the Pitts fans putting us down!!

Remember this is a TEAM effort, ONE MAN on the field or OFF Field does not make a TEAM!!!
Exactly. I agree 1000%. I am not worried, guys, remember something, we are in the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! Amazingly, injuries hurt this team all year, we have 17-19 guys on IR and still made it this far. Rolle will play, everybody that I hear is injured and "might not play" will be on that field sunday night. They know all too well how big and important this game is, everything will be fine.
True...with an injured knee. we had to try and cover him up for the couple of games that he did play, by getting extra help from the safeties. I'd much rather have a healthy walker than a banged up knee of a starting cornerback in McAlister. A banged up knee really hurts when keeping up with the WR's cuts and double moves. And, although his attitude has been very childish, walker has definitely stepped up to the plate and performed for us as a good starter.
I dont buy us shifting coverage to help C-Mac..i read that in the Baltimore Sun and i didnt buy it then and i don't buy it now. He had 3 picks in 5 games. I could see in the Colts game he sucked it up a bit, but it was really only on two passes (which he had no help on).

where is all the love coming for wahington and walker? they havent played that hot at all people. good for backups. but not for full time starters that they have to be now because of injury. i agree with chi town im pulling for us and will be cheering as much as the next guy but the overall team health is not there for us and the steelers have 0 injuries. either way go ravens

Finally, someone understands what I'm getting at. I'm still as much as a Raven fan as the next guy, but our team isn't looking good. I want us to win so much, but unless our offense is supercharged like it was earlier in the year, and our defense can zone blitz, it'll be very hard for us to win the game.

I love how if you're not 100% gonzo Ravens on their chances to win, you're not a "fan."

There are a ton of starters on the IR or who are limited in practice due to injuries... and if, God forbid, someone mentions that those missing players may have a bearing on the game's outcome, well, they aren't fans.

I try to look at things through purple colored glasses, too, but there are too many things stacked against the team to make this an evenly matched contest.

There were also many things stacked against us before the season started, and look where perseverance has got the RAVENS and FANS!!!

Perserverance:
1.steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., esp. in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.

I can't believe what I'm hearing on this BALTIMORE RAVENS forum. Samari and C-Mac were out earlier this season. AND WE STILL MANAGED TO WIN GAMES! What's to say we can't win with a Starting Corner out. The injuries are piling up, sure. But this is where the best football team wins. This is where we can prove we can play through anything. If we win, we deserved it more than anybody!

1.) Shut up, you're embarrassing yourself.

2.) You have no idea what you're saying, and what you're saying makes no sense.

3.) I personally think you jumped on the bandwagon, since we just started doing good, now you're a fan. Where were you last year? I went through it all last year. I was optimistic about each and every game. I bet on the Pat's game, and actually won. I posted on these forums since the beginning of the whole entire boards. So don't tell me what you think. Just shut up. You know nothing about football.

Because Walker wears his emotions on his sleeve and received quite a few personal foul penalties over the season. He's already had one in the post season for a late hit out of bounds.

If there is anyone who can get in someones head, it's Ward.
