So, I get a discount for being a student. Is it work $24.95 a month? I live in Cincinnati and never get to watch Ravens games unless I get a crappy stream.

I love Sunday Ticket and I can't even use it half of the time.  Not only do you get ALL of the games (not just what your local network sticks you with), I enjoy the special features like up to 8 games on one screen.

It is absolutely worth it. I will put it this way, when I actually had direct tv I would pay the insane 300$ to get it.  In the end its a hell of a lot cheaper than going to a bar to watch it every sunday, you get to hear the commentators, watch all the games.  Yes its completely worth it.  I purchased the 'To Go' feature where you can stream on your laptop and mobile devices, that was 50$ a month.

Thanks for the insight, fellas. I went ahead and purchased it. I heard that it was a pretty good buy. Especially for me since I can watch out of market games and living in Cincinnati, I usually get the Bengals.

I live in Blacksburg and I'm sure we'll get some of the Ravens games here, but I still paid for it.

I've had the Sunday Ticket for years(DTV comped it last season), but am thinking about passing this year. Most of the Ravens games are at 1:00 and are now broadcast in my local(DC) market. I've always enjoyed watching teams you don't usually see, but all but a couple of those games each week are at 1:00.

Well, there are still the 3 Sundays we don't play.  There are also the nice extra fearures like the 30 minute replays.

Can you get it with an Xbox 360?

Ravens games are not often covered in my area (unless we play PIT or NE) so I need Sunday Ticket to reliably get the games. The thing that nearly caused me to not sign up this year (also comped for me last season) is how bad the feed is over the internet. My son - who actually has the dish, doesn't seem to have issues, but when I try to use the service to stream over the internet, it can get really bad - almost unwatchable at times.

Does anyone else have internet streaming issues with the service (buffering and poor resolution)? I'm not sure of the issue is bandwidth on my cable (~60Mbps) with my wireless router or with the Sunday Ticket service itself. It is annoying enough that I almost didn't re-up for it (almost ... because I'm an NFL addict ...). I don't have nearly the same issues when watching Netflix, but then I feel like live content is so much harder to get a quality feed for than pre-recorded content.

I have a dish as well but have used on a laptop(wireless) while traveling and it could be a bit choppy at times. I've also used my pc at home that's connected to the router via ethernet cable and that has always been much cleaner than wireless.

Yeah - I'd prefer to watch on TV streamed from wireless, rather than sitting at my PC (direct Ethernet connect). The PC stream is better, but still not very good.

Can you get a cable from your router to the tv?

Maybe the Ethernet cord I have would reach .. but in order to plug this into my TV (and not a laptop), my TV would need to be internet ready, wouldn't it? If so, unfortunately, it isn't.

IDK. How are you streaming to the TV now?  Chromecast or something similar?

What kind of Internet do you have? Do you run Netflix, sling tv or any other app? We run other apps on our roku and everything is fine. I hope NFL Sunday ticket plays okay on our roku.

I've never had one, but I was just looking at them and see that the Roku 3 has an ethernet port.

I just have a stick ... still, I am in the market for a new device (share one stick between 2 TVs). As I look for another, I'll consider the Roku 3, since I can conceivably connect via Ethernet (though my wife is allergic to wires and probably won't be thrilled with the Ethernet cable running down the hall).

Still - as I said when I connect direct to my PC, Sunday ticket is a little better than over wireless, but still pretty bad. Yours is OK? If so - what is your internet speed?

I think I'm at 30mbps. I hope it works on my roku. What's your speed,

Time Warner cable - 60Mbps. Off the Roku stick, I run Netflix - looks fine, Amazon - also fine. I run sling TV - looks fine too ... on TV shows and studio broadcasts... but I swear there is something about live sports broadcasts that cause the feed to suffer. When I'm watching live sports on ESPN off of sling TV, the feed can get pretty bad at times.

So, I'm just not sure where the trouble is. I don't want to spend to upgrade the 60Mbps speed, if that isn't the issue.

Search for and do an Ookla Speedtest. Sometimes routers slow speeds to well below what you pay for.

Actually, Time Warner claims my service is "up to 50Mbps", but I got 59Mbps using a their speed test, with the direct Ethernet connection (got the exact same results with Ookla).

At least for tomorrow's game, I'll probably use my PC with direct connect ... but if it is not displaying well and my speed tests keeps showing in the 50-60Mbps range ... then I'm not sure what the issue is.

Thanks for the input! Go Ravens!

Amazon Fire Stick + Kodi = live stream every week.  And solid quality too.

Extremely easy to configure and you can watch a TON of other stuff too.

I got the Bills game on Sunday, so I didn't have to use NFL Sunday Ticket on that day, BUT I did have that issue with the Jets-Bengals game.

Granted, my router/modem are in the bedroom and my TV is in the living room separated by like four or five walls, so there's gonna be some tunneling issues.

I'm actually going to move my TV and PS4 into my bedroom on Sunday just to see if it'll make the game quality any better since my Internet connection is really weak in the living room.

However, never have an issue with Netflix.
