Mine isn't official, but it's very organized. I would NEVER pay to post anywhere. Are there places that do that?
No one is picking the Steelers to blow the Ravens out or vice versa.
Actually, if any of you listened to Mark Schlereth this morning on ESPN he did say, "If there is going to be a blowout this weekend, I see the Steelers having a chance to do that to the Ravens" This isn't the exact statement but the point is there.

These aren't my opinions. Just telling everyone what he said.

Honestly, I like Mark Schlereth, he is very insightful. Im surprised he said that unless there was some reason.

I like him too, and I agree that it's surprising to hear him say that.

as much as I hate the steelers and most of their fans, it's alright with me that we have guys like thewarden here. He provides an outside view, but remains respectful for the most part. what i can't stand are the steelers fans who talk out of their butts, that's when I check out of posts and don't even bother. thanks thewarden for being a good guy, or at least as good of a guy as a steelers fan can be......
I think I only heard one person pick the Ravens to beat Tennessee. I'd be lying if I said it was a game I wasen't worried about.
Yeah, that would be Chris Collinsworth on Inside the NFL. He also said this week "I'm riding this horse until it drops...Ravens".

Actually on sportsline the Harmon Forecast predicted the Ravens would win, and the majority of their judges picked the Ravens as well. I think it was about a 3/2 split between the judges. I like their experts, they tend to be pretty dead on. Anyone else follow the Harmon Forecast or put much weight on it?

FYI it's a computer algorithm that takes dozens of statistical categories and computes a prediction for games. It says this weekend that the Steelers won't cover the spread (6 pts), but that they'll beat the Ravens 20-16.

The good news is, its record for the season is only about 65%, so there's a good chance it could win. If you ever look at experts who track their picks each week, even the best don't have a success rate above 65-70%

The Steelers looked great against the Chargers, so now the Steelers are the hot team to pick. But as a Chargers' fan, I can say that the Chargers were very mediocre this year. The Steelers and the "experts" are overconfident from that Chargers game, which frankly was not an impressive victory.
Hmm. Picking that one is tough. You really don't know who's going to show up. The Eagles haven't exactly been the model for consistency (nor have the Cards) but they have the experience, whereas the Cards have none.
Don't the Cards have Kurt Warner?

Are you really shocked about this? On paper we should not win this game. We have too many key injuries playing against a very healthy Steeler team.

I'm still staying optimistic about this game but it's getting very hard to stay that way. Each press conference is like a "doomsday" report.

everyone should pick steelers. we beat you twice, have home field and your injuries but dont make the mistake that noone thinks you cant win. stats, ranks and records mean nothing and remember neither one of us were picked to do this

I agree. If I was non-biased and just looking at the stats and the health of the teams and all that stuff, I'd probably go with the crowd and say the Steelers would win, too. That's how they look at things and I don't think they're being disrespectful or anything - that's how it looks on paper. But there are intangibles, and I'm hoping that those intangibles bring us home the win.

I think earlier during the season we could play the "we don't get no respect" card, but I think that has changed. The Ravens ARE getting noticed and good things are being said about them. Just because we aren't getting picked to win against a healthy, rested Steeler team, that otherwise would be about even with us, doesn't mean the media doesn't respect us, it just means that 'on paper', we might not be favored.

I still think this game could go either way, but I see the point of the media and I definitely see the point of the Ravens fans that think our team can overcome the injuries and tiredness one more time.

I'm looking at it this way. Even if we lose, it's still been an incredible season. I remember even after the first home game against Cincy this year some friends and I were talking about how we might be able to go 8-8! lol! Who knew?

For Harbaugh, the bar has now been raised. We got this far with major injuries, next season we will be looking to go all the way. (of course this is saying that we don't go all the way this year)

Could you imagine if we had everyone healthy right now. Guys like Kelly Gregg, Dawan Landry, McCalister, Yanda, and Barnes? Not to mention the guys are playing injured or ones that just suffered an injury last week. It's scary to think about how much better we could be next season if we can keep key guys off the injury report.

Its Purple Friday! It just makes me sick that I don't feel good at all about this game.

Next year frightens me, because we wont be able to have the same team at all. It's contract year, and we'll take some BIG, MAJOR losses.

<_< I guess it's time to sit back and let it be what it is. It was next man up with Jimmy & look what he did? Walker has proved well on a few big games. Someone will step up big for Sugg's. We have alot of talent on this team and we know how to draft good players, 2nd and 3rd string included. I know theres no excuses in football, but a team hasent played 18 games straight. EVER. I just hope we're in this game, if we are and lose by no more then a TD we can honestly sit back and say we almost beat the Steelers with what 9 starters down? And thats saying something about how we play. At the end of the day, Im happy to be where we are. And win or lose that I got to enjoy 3 more exciting weeks of football with my Ravens in the headlines

So we lose either Suggs or Scott. IMO, they will resign Ray and Jason Brown. I think we will be fine if we lose either Scott or Suggs as long as we get back many of the players on IR. Barnes is a beast and you will all get to see how awesome of a player Jameel McClain is going to be in the NFL this week. If Suggs doesn't play, McClain should be playing the entire game.

Also don't be surprised to see a healthy dose of Brendan Ayenbadejo at linebacker this week as well.
