Forsett just got shortchanged from Ozzie just like he did to Anquan Boldin and almost did to TUcker... I can't imagine good FA coming here because of Oz's reputation to not pay out on a full contract. We shouldn't overpay in the first place. No other team would've payed Forsett $3M/ year. Also, how do you ask Boldin to take a paycut after a great season? This is not how a "great" organization is run. Regardless, we save money on Forsett...

You had no idea at the time you wrote this, what the deal was that was offered to Forsett but why let that stop you from assuming the worst of the organization?

Given the way this had been playing out, it seemed obvious that we simply determined that we could leverage the situation to avoid subjecting a player to waivers that we ultimately wanted on the 53 man roster and worked out this plan with Forsett. The report is now out and, not surprisingly, it appears this assumption was accurate, given he's getting the same basic deal (with additional incentives). The organization established trust with a player and both sides gave their word on how this would play out and both followed through on it. A model of cooperation between team and player.

Almost shortchanged Tucker? ... but didn't, so almost doesn't count. Boldin? Well, I was never thrilled with that move either, but IMO we've reached our statute of limitations on that one as far as it being a major talking point in 2016.

Congrats to Forsett coming back, and big time congrats to this years draft class, even with Reynolds being cut, he is on the PS, meaning all this years drafted players made the team.....That's huge......

In five more days and a wakeup everyone can forget all this obsessing about who is and isn't on the team. Then, of course, we will start obsessing about whether some play call was the right choice to make.

The only two things I would be concerned about this year is can the secondary get on the same page and can the linebackers cover. Has CJ improve in this area?

Happy day Blessed day Ravens got one of their leaders back in the locker-room and on the field...

Although I'm not a fan of Forsett, that is true. He is a very humble guy.

Great RB's talk with their pads, not on Twitter.

What debacle? No trash talk ... seemed to enjoy being a part of some mystery with "the plot thickens" comment and other than that, just kind words for those who welcomed him back.

Coversation starts
"Justin we need to keep Davis and Elam in the 53 man rota until monday before we can IR them, if we give you a $100k bonus would you resign monday ??"

I think you're completely misusing the word debacle. Forsett just playing with you, take a joke, man, and lighten up.

This was a pretty slick move by the Ravens and they counted on a player with character to pull it off. Hopefully it will benefit the team as the season plays out. It's good to see Forsett back because they were to thin @ RB with Dixon being out for 3-4 weeks. I give Ozzie credit for some creative thinking in order to accomplish his goals. It was necessary because they got a bumper crop in this year's draft. Looks like 2 rookies might start ( Stanley and Lewis ) and 5 others will see significant playing time ( Moore, Dixon, Judon, Henry and Correa). That's a big shot in the arm at least from a depth perspective. I can't think of any other team that did this well in this year's draft
i really like the way this roster has come together and am cautiously optimistic for the Ravens to return to playoffs.

Wish my boss had a 53 man roster ... That's gonna be a nice set of wheels for Justin's family, glad he is back, and our OL looks pretty sweet this year.

Writing "And the plot thickens" on Twitter is a big debacle to you?

I don't really see why they need him. Allen, Dixon and West are all about eight years younger, and about 2.5 million cheaper. Juice coulda got some major playing time till Dixon returned. RB's are a dime a dozen.

This seems like Forsett will still be the feature back. While it really looked like he lost his starting job to west. I like Forsett as a guy but I'd rather see west and Dixon when he gets back in there

Don't deny that Oz tried to shortchange Anquan a couple of years back- that's a fact. If he did it once, he could do it again.

Also, and this is no offense to Forsett, but he aint worth $3M a year- this is one reason why we have cap problems, not to even mention overpaying Flacco like he's elite.

You're a piece of work. SMH. First you say while "Shortchanging" Ozzy; "Forsett just got shortchanged from Ozzie just like he did to Anquan Boldin and almost did to TUcker... I can't imagine good FA coming here because of Oz's reputation to not pay out on a full contract." Then in the next sentence you "Shortchange" Forsett with; We shouldn't overpay in the first place. No other team would've payed Forsett $3M/ year." And to make matters worse, as balfan23 said, You had no idea at the time you wrote this, what the deal was that was offered to Forsett. Now 24 hrs. later you try to save face with a rebuttal about a 4 year old topic? C'mon man. You would do good if you would just stop "Shortchanging" yourself!
