PFF First Round Rookie Round Up

Here's a wrap up from PFF on the rookie first rounders from pre-season. Stanley has been the best T from the draft class so far (and bested "Big Tunsil"), so the Ravens look, so far, to have made an excellent pick.

Surprisingly, Jalen Ramsey is really exceeding my expectations. He's been flat out shutting out his man so far in the preseason.

Unsurprisingly, a fan favorite here, Vernon Hargreaves III is killing it down there in Tampa. He's a player I kinda wanted at 6 (or as a trade back) and it appears he may have been an equally good pick as Stanley.

Also, a lot of people on here were extremely hard on Robert Nkemdiche, but he's showing he can get it done down there in Arizona. They sorely needed a pass rush and they go out and get Chandler Jones and Nkemdiche. They are my SB favorites now.

Any surprising players on this list for you all?

I'm surprised Goff is doing so bad. I thought he was more pro-ready than that. I thought Tunsil would be better at run-blocking than he is. I thought Treadwell would do better catching than he has. I'm also surprised by Artie Burns. I didn't think he would be as good as they said he is. Ifedi also surprised me because I didn't think he would have that kind of impact. We'll see if these translate to the real games, though. I also thought Butler would be better than he is. He looked much better in college. Perhaps the scheme isn't a fit for him.

Surprised with Treadwell. I really thought he was gonna set the world on fire starting day 1. Very surprised about Vernon butler getting no pressures, I thought he had a real chance to end up the best DT in this class.

I think Fuller is going to have a pretty good rookie season in comparison to the other 1st round receivers.

I'm not surprised artie burns came in week 4 And played well considering the circumstances. I will be surprised though it he plays well regular season. Week 4 preseason is usually just a pathetic display of football unless you're the ravens with great depth players lol

I think Butler will eventually be the best DT in the class, but it's a pretty big jump in competition that he's dealing with. He might just take a bit longer to develop.

Yeah he was hurt the first 3 weeks. I still think artie burns is either a long term project or a flat out bust.

He's actually behind Braxton Miller on the depth chart, believe it or not.

I was all about taking him in the second if he was still there.  But I agree, Cardinals look stacked on paper
