Directly from Skura himself:

It's a great day to be a @Ravens! Can't wait to get the regular season started in a couple days.

Per his agent:

The Baltimore Ravens have signed Blaine Clausell (OT, Mississippi State) to their practice squad where he can continue developing with them.

Imagine working with Devin Hester on the finer points of the return game. Reynolds being the sponge that he is will greatly benefit this year learning from Hester.

Yea he gets to sit next to and work side by side with both SSS and Hester everyday. That'll do a lot for his development.

Agreed. I still don't get why? Ochi is understandable because he may be closer to home but Butler?

Butler is from FL, just south of Tampa, so the same argument stands. He also has a decent shot at making the Bucs roster at some point.

Pretty nice get for our PS:

Yea didn't think he had the best preseason, but I did see some good things from him. Henry just showed way too much and the team couldn't keep everyone. Gald he's back. That only leaves 4 spots right?

Yep.  4 more to go.  Guessing Patrick Onwuasor and Julian Wilson will be 2 of them.

Hey guys. While both Butler and Ochi were pretty popular among us fans, lets keep this to strictly the Ravens PS squad. Not guys who won't be there or guys you hope to be there. Just guys who have already signed.

Use the Final Cut or Cuts from other team threads otherwise.

At some point the Ravens have to hire you to manage their twitter account. You are all over it bro. Appreciate it.

Well first of all get better soon, but while you aren't feeling 100% keep up the good work. lol

I was impressed with Houston and think the Ravens might have a good late season option with him should a injury occur

I'm glad he is still with us.

Have to agree with this. He was progressing well on ST and as a LB. If things go the way the Ravens hope, he won't be playing defensive snaps any time soon, but I think he certainly has what it takes to turn into a key ST contributor. Glad Onwuasor and his aggressive style is still on the team.

From Rich Campbell, a Bears reporter:

QB David Fales is expected to sign with the Ravens practice squad, where he'll reunite with former Bears HC Marc Trestman, their OC.

I'm sure a lot of people are going to be angry with this - thinking we should have tried to get Josh Johnson on the PS instead

I don't think we can since Johnson is like 30 or something like that. Jerrod Johnson was younger but he looked like he needed some help.

I thought PS eligibility was not a function of age or even years, but how much active playing time you received. I did read from CBS sports yesterday they expected we may want to put Josh on our PS ... but of course not everything you read is accurate ... even when it comes from a major source like CBS.

He's well passed eligibility all the way back in Tampa days. He's actually played in more than 20 games for Bucs, few starts, too.

Losing Ochi hurts...can't believe we kept seven CB and Hurst over Butler and Ochi.

Yeah but Hurst and one of them CB's will likely be cut in the coming days anyway to make room for other guys such as Hester and possibly even forsett. The 53 is far from final until we get closer to game day.

Yeah not eligible unfortunately.

I thought they would have tried to get Josh Johnson on the practice squad as well but wasn't sure if he was eligible. The Ravens have Keenan Reynolds so if they ever need someone to emulate Tyrod and RGIII in practice to help better prepare their defense  then he may be able to do it.
