Ochi wasn't impressive, not to be mean but I didn't really care that he was released, but I was a full supporter of Terrence Brooks, and they could've easily kept him over James Hurst who was responsible for Joe getting hurt when he let the defender hit him. I pray to god he comes back. Elam over Brooks is awful. Brooks outplayed him by a country mile. He was stronger, faster, more aggressive and hungry. I could see Brooks delivering a big hit over the middle for a fumble or incomplete pass, but not Elam, or Lewis.

I sort of liked Butler, as he was basically the only WR that produced anything in the preseason, and none of the other guys outside of Moore seem to be special teams contributors. But I am not really going to get upset about the 6th receiver being dropped, as he probably wouldnt have seen many snaps anyway. Thank god the arthur brown, elam, brooks era is over. the drafts were horrid.

Remaining players, starting with 2009 - 1, 2010 - 1, 2011 - 1, 2012 - 0, 2013 - 4.
That is 5 years of draft, and it only yielded 7 players. Scary.

Hope that was just a bad run and we can start rebuilding the depth.

We still have Elam. I dare you to say Brooks wasn't impressive, he was a tackling machine, hit hard, and was either this close to a int, or made it incomplete at least

We also just worked out Devin Hester WR/ KR so he may be joining the Ravens as well, So that could explain the Jeremy Butler Cut

Can someone tell me how Matt Elam made the team? I understand he was a #1 pick, but c'mon. He didn't produce and only looked reasonable around other 2nd and 3rd stringers.... Is he the expendable one when Oz finds someone released?

I could say that some moves were surprising. Yet, nothing is really surprising when you get to the Final Cut Day. There will be signings and Re-Signings.
Campanaro to the IR again........and it's a decent group of Players to hopefully heal . We may expect Elam to end up there or receive an Injury Settlement.

whats a guy like Butler gotta do to make this squad? With Perriman still pretty much untested, SSS questionable if he'll make it back as good as he was before, and all the injuries we had last year to our WR's, I don't understand cutting Butler.

Ah, I've just understood the Forsett cut: he was the only vested vet RB on our roster, so he was the only one who will not go on the waiver wire, so he cannot be claimed. It seems the prevailing theory is that he'll be re-signed at some point next week.

You sure about that? What does that mean exactly? That they talked to him and convinced him not to sign elsewhere, which he can control, whereas the younger guys just get picked on waiver, out of their control?
