Nice of Forsett to put some time in for people in need, but is it necessary to have a film crew following him every time he does it? Guys like Ray Lewis and Eddie Murray, who have had the bad guy image throughout their careers, have contributed boatloads of time and great amounts of $$ for various causes, almost all anonymously, not to mention countless others. You wonder about the motives.

I wouldn't read too much into it. He probably saw that we were heading down to New Orleans and thought, "Hey that is close to Baton Rouge, I would like to help those people." He probably asked the Ravens for permission to leave the New Orleans area to help and the organization probably helped him set something up. The organization probably asked if they could tag along and show his good will and he probably said sure why not. He does not seem like the type that is looking for any accolades for helping out. It thought it was pretty cool that he volunteered his time and energy and maybe some money.

Pumped for this team after seeing all these young guys make plays! Side note: Why do they use oxygen after plays? They are 100% saturated. It's not doing anything...

I'm still convinced that the Cowboys got confused when they signed Jerrod Johnson yesterday. I think they thought he was Josh...

Hey Fish, I was thinking that exact same thing. Wont they be surprised when they find out!

Hmmm... let's play conspiracy theory... the Bears may use a servicable backup QB... we have Josh Johnson we almost surely won't keep... and they're reportedly trying to shop their former starting ILB Christian Jones - a position the Ravens are unusually thin at... Jones played under Trestman...

That would be quite a story :)

I watched all of preseason last year and that team did not impress me at all. When our 2nd and 3rd units took the field there was a serious drop in talent. This year's team has a different feel a different vibe overall when it comes to our overall play. We do look faster, more athletic and there seems to be talent across the board something I personally did not see last preseason. But then again its just preseason so time will tell.

This RB Houston looked very good. Idk who this guy is but he made a name for himself last night. I'd much rather see him in the 3rd spot over Allen.

maybe the ravens might IR/cut camp, davis, allen.. and keep Ochi, and josh johnson as trade bait, pierce has cemented his spot.

I really think this year that the success of the Ravens hinges more on Flacco's play than anything else. Year after year we have made excuses for his inconsistency and accuracy blaming it on poor talent around him. I am in that boat as well and just as guilty. This year, Flacco is immersed in quality talent in the skill positions from top to bottom. If Flacco can get the ball anywhere near these guys, we should have a dynamite offense. Flacco should get 4500 yards without a problem. No excuses, gloves are off, this is Flacco's time to prove the pundits wrong and utilize the talent around him and show them he is a very good QB if not an elite QB.

Yep, he was good last night - but some consistency seems to be missing. He was good yesterday (although his 3.44 YPC average isn't especially superb...) - but not really good a week ago...
IMHO Allen has nothing to be afraid of. We can all remember how unconvincing Buck Allen was in the pre-season a year ago... He had a dismal YPC average, he had a lost goal line fumble... he looked anything but NFL-ready. and then the season came, and he was a totally different player... and a much better one at that. Seems like Buck Allen is not the pre-season type player.

The Ravens are reportedly working out Devin Hester.

That's cool. I wouldn't mind having him here. If the price is right and we got a roster spot for him why not. Ozzie go get him

If we do trade Josh Johnson l hope we could can get a trade in return like a decent cornerback or something.

Not cutting Camp. Harbaugh loves that guy.

I like Camp too. I don't want to cut him he's a good slot wr. Just got to limit his injuries.

My one take away from this preseason. We reached on Correa and he seems to be struggling. i watched him last night miss tackles, get lost in coverage and he disappears when he rushes the passer. I really hope he pans out, but if he doesn't it will suck to know that Myles Jack and other good CBs were still available in the second round. Im rooting for him but it seems like he may take some time to develop.

The problem is that to make a roster spot for him, one of the guys we'd all loath to see cut, must be cut :( And Hester is the exact kind of player Harbaugh said earlier we don't really want: offering zilch beyond kick returning... We could just as well bring back Jacoby.

I think you spelled "problem" in Spanish LOL. ? But yeah true. It's gonna be tough for a roster spot. We got so many talented guys.

Personally I would love to send Josh Johnson and a late round pick to the Vikings for Cordell Patterson. The dude is great in the return game and could be the starter opposite of Perriman next year. I hope they make the right decision when it comes to Butler, even if it means letting Allen go. Well all know West and Dixon are the future of the RB position and with the injury bug our WRs always catch it would be a great move. I would much rather have Levine as our 3rd ILB than Brown.. Those are just my opinions lol..

I like your idea as well. He is younger than Devin Hester and maybe faster at this point and it could be a perfect trade but the situation is the roster spot. That's the problem. I like your idea of using Levine as our third LB and cutting Brown.

Rumor is Patterson will be cut anyway.
A returner is a need, is Patterson an upgrade over Campanaro?
I say Yes

Really, is that true? If that's the case l like him over Devin Hester. He's only 25 and is faster at this point. If he's release l will say go for it. The thing that tough is the roster spot situation. Who are we gonna take out?

Yeah, totally disagree.

1. Patterson is exclusively a kickoff returner... he doesn't return punts, so he only solves half of the returner problem.
2. He's not a very good WR. We've got multiple young guys on this team who does what he does better. No chance he would ever get higher than 3rd or 4th on the WR depth chart. He can't even ascend high in a very weak group of WRs in Minnesota.
3. As I addressed yesterday in another thread, the difference between Patterson as a returner and just about anybody we sent out there from 2015 was 10 yards a game. That's it. 10 yards.

Trading for 10 yards doesn't make much sense to me.

Well, we don't know who's good yet. Myles Jack could be terrible, and so could many of the corners.

Way too early for this assessment.

Josh Johnson isn't worth anything in a trade.

That is so funny. I can't imagine they would make such a huge mistake, but then again it is the Cowboys and that organization has left me scratching my head for a while now. After the way Landry and Renner played in preseason for the Steelers, I think if we cut Josh the Steelers will take him. Ben gets hurt a lot and they need a good backup.
