[News] Breshad Perriman Felt 'Sigh Of Relief' After First NFL Catch

17 posts in this topic

Perriman is gonna be a beast. I can feel it. If he can get 2 catches for 25 yards just like that image having Flacco throwing him the ball. He could get 100 yards receiving easily. I'm excited for him and Flacco chemistry.

If Perriman does nothing but causes the defense to move back, then that means that SSS, Wallace (who has shown he is a much better route runner than given credit for), Aiken, Camp, and our really good tight ends are going to eat up the middle of the field and underneath. Also, when our running backs break through the second level, the corners and safeties are running backwards to cover Perriman, thus allowing for greater gains by the RBs. Also, they can't roll coverage over both sides, so Wallace and Moore can stretch the other side of the field and if they play a Tampa 2, or a 2 deep cover, then Waller, with 4.4 speed (when he gets back) can fly down the middle. And on top of all those wonderful goodies that Perriman brings, just like Torrey Smith, with Joe's arm, he will become a PI magnet on the catches he doesn't make. For the very first time since the Ravens have been in Baltimore, I think we have a first rate, A+ rated receiving corps, and I love it.

Calling it right now. First offensive play against the Buffalo Bills, 80 yard TD bomb to Perriman.

I doubt Perriman will be on the field for the first offensive play.
Look for SSS and Wallace as the wideouts, possibly Aiken.

Exactly. He brings an awesome dynamic to this offense. We could be really dangerous this year if we stay healthy. Very dangerous. And thats without drinking any purple cool aid , thats just a fact. He also showed hes not just a one trick pony. Moore as well. Joes finally got weapons fellas!!

I hope Ravens can stay healthy to see how the full team performs. Perriman looked sharp and if Pitta can return, the offense could be special.

perfect situation for him to be the #4 to begin the season while he gets acclimated to live action at the nfl level. if all goes well and he is the real deal i look for him to steal several snaps from the aging sss as the season progresses

Perriman looked physical at the line of scrimmage against press. We wanted to get his feet wet, but are saving that go route for Buffalo.

Physical isn't the word, he completely towered over everyone I saw him stand next to. The guy is huge and will hurt smaller DB's that try to tackle him...

Perriman has not proved anything with just two catches. Yea!!!! he was able to get on the field good for him. but can he last a AFC North game? He has a long road ahead of him so lets just stop the RAW RAW beside the secondary will be the issue not the offense. Jimmy Smith has not been tested this year.

No one is putting him in the hall of fame yet, but seeing him on the field is certainly better than seeing him on the sidelines. People are understandably encouraged by the fact that he's finally seen live action. No, we don't know what the future holds, but there is a reason we drafted him in the 1st round and that is because he has promise. Can't blame some fans for trying to be optimistic.

Glad to see Perriman on the field, now let's rip the lid off and open it up! No more "fundamental" football run on 1st and 2nd pass on 3rd and punt! Come out passing huddle up after each play but hit them up with Triple " S ", Wallace, Aiken, Campy and Perriman and don't get 20 pts and go to the run and depend on the Defense keep lighting them up! Let the run be more of a surprise but LIGHT THEM UP! PLEASE! Can average 35 -40 pts a game if used correctly we got the talent!

Slang that rock right? Lol your obviously not a fan of the run.

I would absolutely love nothing more than for perriman to just light it up this year and put up over 1000 yards - watch all of the ppl that hated on him and called him a bust walk back their words and feel dumb as hell.

This kid is just radiating with confidence right now.

Bad news, Ravens cut Butler. Good news, Perriman looked good. Like the 1st round draft pick the Ravens envisioned. He looked quick making his cuts and the hands are there. Just a small sample size but can't wait to see more. He should only get better as the season wears on. I hope Perriman becomes the stud that Aiken and Levine have looked like so far. Don't look now but this group of receivers is going into the season very under-rated. Steve Smith is STILL Steve Smith. Aiken>Torrey Smith and Boldin? Perriman>Torrey Smith and Boldin? Can Joe throw for 5000 yards and 40 TD's? That's All-Pro. I have no doubt he'll have 4500 and 30 TD's. Will Stanley be an All-Pro in his rookie season?
