camp is likely cut too. So basically we got rid butler and camp for a 33 year old hester

 

This FO has lost it. They are a dishonest bunch too.

Sorry but I hate this move, if we keep Camp on the roster then it'll be even worse. Butler earned a spot, don't understand why our coaches refuse to give the kid what he's earned. He'll be picked up by someone, pretty much guaranteed

this is BRUTAL. This guy was probably the best WR we had all preseason. He deserves better.

Wow. What more could he have done? I mean I understand the logic as he would have been last on the depth chart anyway and likely inactive on game day but what about when injuries occur ? Plus you  gotta think about next year once sss is gone. I would've hated making this decision.

I just get angry when our most productive recivever whos been great whenever hes played is told to go after harbs lies in his press conferences. Remember, ''you make plays and you'll make the team '' '' Butler has caught everything etc'' ''Butler has really stood out '' etc

Wow not Butler, I believe the guy caught everything thrown his way all preseason. He reminds me a lot of Aiken....very solid. Is it possible they will keep Matthews? He had a pretty solid preseason.

I like Butler as much as everyone here... but we have nobody right now that can consistently field a kick. I'd rather have Hester than Butler who would likely be an inactive on game day.

 

Butler would be behind SSS, Wallace, Aiken, Perriman, and Moore. I would also think Gillmore, Williams, and Pitta would be looked at before Butler when it comes to extra targets if one of those WRs goes down.

Butler likely has nothing to do with Hester, as their roles aren't the same.

If you said cut Camp for Hester, you probably would have gotten a lot of thumbs up (if you're into that sort of thing).

frankly, perriman has shown nothing. Butler is probably a better WR than perriman at this moment.

He would have been harder to let go if he had made plays on special teams but that was not the case. I understand next year but we talking about right now and right now The Ravens have four capable receivers already to go with promising  receiver in Moore and if Camp makes the team he also has promise as well if he can stay healthy.

In an ideal year with all healthy players, Butler doesn't catch a pass all season long. He would likely be a gameday inactive most weeks.

Totally stunned they let Butler go!!! These preseason games seem totally meaningless now. What more could he have done??? I hope he gets signed by a team in the NFC and sees a lot of playing time. He deserves it.

Watched the pre season? How about last year when he actually played? the eye test said that this guy is a player. I'd see more reason to cut campanaro or perriman than butler. When one of those two is out for the season this will come back and bite them in the you know what.

Perriman wouldn't last 2 seconds on waivers. You are far too emotional in your logic. Perriman is a first round pedigree who looked solid in his only action. Butler has played great in preseason games and wasn't bad as an injury replacement... but nobody would call him a future #1 WR like many would project Perriman.

Camp might be gone too.
