Can someone who is clearly smarter than me, explain Campanaro's situation? Is he off the team or on? I don't know what an injury waive means. Can he be picked up by another team? Can he make the PS?

He's on IR right now.  There are a couple of options at this point.  He can stick on IR and we can give him another chance next year.  We can release him with an injury settlement and he can be re-signed to the team later in the season, or he could go elsewhere.

Forsetts best attribute at this point is vision, the problem this year is whoever starts at LG is a massive downgrade from KO. Our backs will have to create yardage.

um. I don't know who you've been watching but he has excellent speed, a sprinter in high school, good receiving ability, great vision, and excellent pass blocker. Do you have TV? The games are on it with replays to prove this. Justin Forsett is the most underrated back in the NFL and has been his entire career. This is the first time in my long tenure as a Ravens fan I am so upset over a cut I can't keep it in. I love Forsett as a back. I JUST DON'T KNOW ENOUH ABOUT FOOTBALL.

What NFL player wasn't a sprinter in HS? Being considered fast in HS is irrelevant, all these guys were considered fast in HS. He's got subpar speed, if you're unwilling to accept that then there's no reason to carry on because this shouldn't be a contentious point, his lack of speed is well known and he lives off quickness, not speed. Watch any number of replays you want and you'll see him routinely caught from behind on breakaways.

Thank you. That explains it perfectly!

Most would say All Pro is better than Pro Bowl.

I stand corrected. All pro is the best at his position and pro bowl is one that is selected for the game.

I hope New England picks up Forsett. He deserves it and will be the best back Belichick ever had

We're supposedly bringing him back

Only way I would bring back Forsett is if he signs for a lot less money and is the reserve running back.  Front office has been preaching getting younger and faster and cutting Forsett was the quickest way to accomplish that.  Better off playing West/Allen as committee for the first 3 weeks and then featuring Dixon.

sigh, i guess they'll have to learn the hard way..hes past it...it happens with running backs in a blink of an eye.

Which further adds to the view that he just flourished in Kubiak's system. His offense is all about vision and patience, which I'm sure we all can agree is what Forsett is really good at.

cmon Stan....You know we would have traded both Millet and Johnson, and maybe thrown someone else in for that.  They probably offered us maybe a 4th and a 5th.

A 4th that can turn into a 3rd if they reach certain thresholds and a 2nd if they win the SB I think... it was a conditional 4th round pick in 2018.

That's what they gave for Bradford. I think the question was what did they offer us, I assume for Mallet.

I'm unsure what they offered us but know they were in some kind of discussions with the Ravens.

I don't even care what they [Vikings] offered us since we didn't get anything from them. That's over and done with now, and Johnson was cut so I doubt anyone comes knocking. If anyone wants Johnson, he's a free agent and they can sign him. Unless someone has a desire for Ryan Mallett and their QB gets hurt, I think we're not trading any of our QB.

2 years ago Forsett started losing his legs later in the season and was non existent in the post season. Last year he got hurt before than. Now 2 years older, he's not a starter and we have 3 guys younger and possibly much better. The writing was on the wall. I doubt they bring him back and use up a slot.

Johnson, no way was he making the 53. We never carry 3 QBs, and why would we? If Joe goes down for a extended period the season is over. Not to mention his preseason play was mediocre.

Butler was a numbers game. He has the skill set that we already have 2 guys in Aiken and SR fill. Maybe he gets on the PS. But let's be honest, he's not someone other teams would be scared of or have to game plan on.

Camp just needs to be released. I know fans love the hometown guy but sorry he has the heart just not the body to play in the league.

Surprised at the Brooks release. But again he's one of those guys who hasn't developed. Always one step behind or lol a day late and a dollar short of being even productive but still equal to Lewis, and cheaper so not sure the idea here.

Buck has shown 0 vision in the preseason. He routinely just runs right into a pile. No improvisation, no patience, and little burst.

He has been pretty good as a pass catcher and I think that's why they've retained him. He can be effective on 3rd down.

But West will be the starter at least until Dixon returns. They'll form a great 1-2 punch.

Second Raven found a new home:

Harbs said there would be guys cut who would immediately find new homes because they are possible of starting in this league. Sad to see some of these guys got, but I think it's a good sign of the team the Ravens have put together this year.

Per the NFL transaction sheet, Victor Ochi, Keenan Reynolds, and Jeremy Butler all passed through waivers. #Ravens

Looks like Butler, Ochi and Reynolds all passed through waivers. Once again looks like the Ravens know more than fans in terms of who will and won't be snatched up quickly if cut.
