but how can you judge a gm's decisions before they come either good or bad

at least wait until the regular season before you pass judgement

Totally agreed and this works both ways, obviously some people like moves and some don't, some think they will work and others don't.

Im not shooting down any of the roster moves made today

the end result lets everybody know  if we're on the right track or not

hopefully we're heading back in the right direction

we might be higher - some of the teams originally higher might have already claimed earlier in the offseason (cant remember)

yea - which is obviously useful - but im not sure what players we might want to claim (obviously they have to go straight on the 53) ... and if we want elam to go on ir (with the possiblility of return) then that move to open a roster spot only comes after the waivers for the cuts are over

the only player i can see being released to make room for a waiver claim is carter

You don't move up or down in the order. Titans have priority on every single player no matter how many they claim.

would love to keep ochi....

side note for everyone who used NFL GAME PASS to stream pre season... i was told 3 september i had to cancel my trial subscription which i did but still was charged $100. apparently this is the norm for last day cancellations. hopefully i can save someone. nfl better refund my $100.

Remember who called the forsett cut weeks ago....

Yes you did it sucks although Forsett has underperformed I still think his experience and mentorship would have helped. You were right

from mount cody/ sergio kindle it hasn't been pretty as far as finding a blue chip.

The last couple have been better no one I perfect and Kindle was a fluke injury so we never will know

Bradford had worked with their coaches or coordinators before

No, he hasn't. Zimmer (Bengals), Turner (SD), and the QB coach (Cleveland) all came from other teams.

Agreeing - our draft record of late hasn't been stellar - interesting to look at our level of players listed in the Top 100 - I know these list are bs most the time but we had 1 player listed - Yanda, were not sending people to the Pro Bowl like we used to - people might argue the merits of it and it's a team game but it's still a reflection of talent - ours seems to be diminishing.

No General Manager is perfect but we keep touting in Ozzie We Trust - with blind faith and anybody who speaks out or questions gets negged off the boards.

Kendrick Lewis, Arrington, Watson, early but I'll throw Powers in - he may come good - we all pat Ozzie on the back and say shrewd signing - In Ozzie We Trust, when they don't work out - Lewis is a back up most want gone, Arrington on IR do we didn't have to cut him, Watson never played a snap, in the last 3 years the decent signings I can think of were Forsett & Daniels who Kubiak brought in, Zuttah but we had to endure a year of Gino first, Smith but we had to endure having mediocre receivers for a year first - seem to be very reactionary not proactive - classic example we're looking at bringing 33 yr old Devin Hester.

Anybody comes back and question those signings, or the recent whiffing on draft picks combined with our recent  record and again you get negged off the board.

Lot of one sided conversation, think people need to take the purple glasses off sometimes.

Im hoping now that we've freed up a bit of salary cap space and hopefully added a few young pieces were moving back in the right direction but if 2 of the last 3 years have been ugly - I think it's fair to question decisions made at the top.

Last year injuries led to that lack of success but in general I will take Ozzie at what he does he I better than most and I get it no one is perfect but for every Arrington there is a Boldin, Dumervil, Mason, Weddle that we get. I will agree that Hester maybe an overreaction but he can catch a punt/kickoff I question it but until we become. Laughing stock like the Browns I will trust Ozzie

Why haven't you been given Ozzie's job yet since you know it all?

Sami would have to leave as Browns GM first

I will give you that although  drafting 5 WRs in one draft is extremely idiotic

Well after reading and thinking on the cuts I get Forsett even though I was against it. I am shocked at only 5 WRs  I thought Butler and Camp would both make it but I am truly shocked at Brooks being cut I thought he was trending upward and with only Webb Weddle and Lewis with Elam being hurt was a shock. I hate that Ochi was cut that was probably one of the more disappointing cuts to me. I like that we kept  Carter Price Pierce and Canady. I know he was a 4th rounder but with the stupid penalties I'm surprised Henry made it. I am disappointed that Butler didn't make it too.

They talked about it on NFLN today.  I'll find the link.  Asked the husband, Yes. It was Pat Shumur

I didn't see the Forsett cut coming, but I'm not upset at all. He was only going to help us this year, and that help seemed marginal

Is there a chance Camp still makes the team? What about the Practice Squad?

He could be re-signed after he passes a physical.
