Well not predicting anything here. We haven't seen that much of the offense to know what's what and our defense so far has not shown me anything to say they are anything more than they were last year.

So we wait and see in real game time.

Facts get nagged around here? Hmmm

Huh? How is 3000 yards and 20 TDs "taking games over with his arm"?

The negs were due to the fact that he is saying a 3k yard season means he can take over games with his arm. He used average passing numbers to say tyrod is capable of beating us single handedly with his arm.

Lesser qbs have and he missed games with those numbers.

I think we win but not as easily as others. Rex Ryan is gonna give Stanley hell. That's a fact. Oline will have its hands full. Darius, Kyle Williams, Hughes. Big test for any oline. They have some speed on defense. Stanley did well against Ansah, but I'm scared for the guy. Every rookie has a few down plays. But I'm an optimist. I think the offense regardless has too much firepower and that Buffalo is missing a few key guys.

I fear Rex's ability to scheme a win defensively.  However, I think Lewis, and the Lewis/Zuttah A gap in particular will be the focus of blitzes until they and the RBs prove they can handle them.

You don't think Rex will leave it to brother to scheme their D?

Josh McCown comes to mind.

Josh mccown has a solid track record as a starter For teams with far less talent than the bills. Calling mccown a lesser qb than tyrod is a stretch at best. Do ya have any more that fit the criteria better? And I hope you acknowledge that last year was a huge anomaly in terms of everything defense.

Actually breaking it down the only other qb is Brian Boyer, so I'll give you that.  Still think know you're underestimating Tyrod, but we'll see.

And Hoyer is another one in the same category lol, he's played extremely well in some stretches.

And im not underestimating tyrod, I know he brings a mixed bag that can be dangerous, but if we keep him in the tackle box I think it's a wrap, I don't think he's gonna take over games from the pocket. Unless he progressed at a rate unheard of, I think he's still the same tyrod who needs basic 1-2 read plays and his first instinct will be to run in every single tight situation. Option 1 not open on first break? Tuck and run. Backside pressure? Tuck and run, who cares about stepping up in the pocket. I think tyrod is more a vick than a wilson, he's a running qb, rather than a qb who uses the run to supplement his passing.

Flacco crushes those stats and doesn't take over games like a Brady or cam or Rodgers does. Tyrod isn't taking this game over with his arm.

Prior to his injury last season....Flacco had a record of 3-7.  He threw for 2,791 yards, 14 TD's, 12 INT's, with a QBR rating of 40.9 in that period.  Could Joe have thrown for more TD's and possibly more INT's as well if he didn't get injured?  Absolutely!  But, we'll never know!

It's my view that Tyrod is a better passer than most give him credit for and he could sting a team with his arm (as well as his legs) at any given moment in my view.  Hopefully, that time won't come against the Ravens.

Thinking Joe could have done a bit better if Sammy Watkins were a Raven.     lol

I think Tyrod is a more than capable QB and could well ding the Ravens next week. For him, as it does with all QBs, a lot depends on the health/ability of his receivers, specifically Watkins.

Tyrod can't take over a game with solely his arm and challenge a good defense and make the aggressive throws required to beat a good D like Flacco can, simply can't and never will. He's a dink and dunker / mobile guy.

I wouldn't call him a dink and dunk qb.  I actually think he's got one of the better deep balls in the league.

He can make aggressive throws, his problem is that he can't make the reads at an NFL level and his height hinders his vision and his ability to zip short passes with high velocity from the pocket. He will likely always be a running qb first and if he is contained in the pocket it's over for him.

So I wanted to inform some of the Bills:

First: Tyrod is an excellent downfield thrower and sideline to sideline thrower. His problem last year was in the middle. Tyrod DOES READ progressions and only runs if necessary, he IS NOT a runner first. Also; I'd expect him to be a much better QB this year than last. Last year he didn't win the QB competition until late; also be developed chemistry with Watkins late in the season (also Woods was playing through an injury most of last year).
O-Line: Solid

Running Game: The Bills running game is over-rated. Sure they were 2nd last year but that was due to QB running plays and a few early blow outs that led to increased running.... it wasn't a strong rushing attack that set up the pass.... quite the opposite really

AS far as the defense goes: it may be better simply by subtraction (Mario Williams) but the strength is the secondary. They can line up with any team and do a good job. Outside the secondary the Bills aren't very impressive... a lot of question marks in the LB and DLine. I think Rex will blitz non-stop in order to rely on the Bills secondary.

Also (for fantasy purposes): Who exactly is the Ravens starter? Do you expect them to resign Forsett?

I'll be at the game. I'll actually be on the field. On a side note just in case someone missed it, this is the 15th anniversary of 9/11. Just an FYI.

The Ravens are perfect when I attend, so let's see if that continues.

Sign Josh Sitton and this issue is resolved quickly, wouldn't you say?

Typo made at 2am after a full day of working. But sure. Go ahead. I know he's Dareus and know that he's suspended. Even I'll admit to my mistakes.
