Next up: Buffalo Bills at M&T Bank Stadium 9/11/16

I'm trying my best to come up with some kind of prediction for this game, but its damn near impossible. The Ravens are by far the most unknown team in the league. Even fans don't know what to expect from us this season. But I believe Lardarius Webb is a big key in whether our defense contains the Bills offense or not. I trust the other players in the secondary, but Webb is the most unknown out of all of them. If he is poor at safety, then the Bills will light us up with their offense. However if Webb uses his smarts like we think he will, I believe we could have one of the best secondary's in the league.

Such a critical game ... yes, every game is critical in the NFL and no game in week 1 can ever be called must win, but this one is big. Here's why:

  • We cannot wait to get the bad taste of last season out of our mouths
  • We have a favorable early schedule and very difficult home stretch.

A tone must be set early in this season - and early means now. If we lose at home to a team that was break even last year and has suffered its share of injury/suspension issues, we will not be building confidence and that's something we need early this year. We were behind the 8 ball right out of the gate last year and we can't start that way this year.

The road will get tougher ... losing early will create must win games down the road when they may be harder to come by.

Good morning Ravens fans from several Bills fans. I'm headed up to the game with some friends and we are just wondering the nuances of the stadium, what to expect, what to do and not to do?  We are 30+ so we are not kids at all.  All but one of us has never been here, though we know several people in the area they didn't have much to offer about the stadium experience. Most of us are upper deck, for what it's worth.  Any insight is appreciated!

We are looking forward this but i think most of us expect a Bills loss.  Hope for a safe, enthusiastic and fun game!  Being 9/11 I'm excited to see what they will do before the game!

Just don't walk 20 minutes in any direction at night time. The nice part of Baltimore is not very big and you can end up in some bad parts quick. In the harbor and stadium area though you have nothing to worry about.

Upper deck people are my kind of people personally, tends to be a bit more rowdy up there, nothing bad though, I've never seen anything close to a conflict there, just lively.

Its a good time, tailgating is a big deal in baltimore, we take pride in our game day experience as it's known as one of the best. Most tailgaters are extremely generous and for the most part welcoming to opposing fans.

You'll catch plenty of flack but it's all in good spirits.

Thank you all!  As long as y'all can take some friendly joshing I'm fine.  I'm fairly easy going, my group is, too.

Quick note before football. I was born in western new York  now living in rural Nc where I farm grass fed beef.  Baltimore is a lot like Toledo, where I spent the majority of my life.  There is...a...lot...here.  it's almost scary!  I look forward to viewing the city this evening, my dates grad school colleague lives here.

So, tomorrow's game:

I am very curious about LeSean McCoy but even more curious about Reggie Bush. I don't think Bush will see a lot of time - but he could make an impact. The Bills cut Marlow Williams for being a moron a few weeks ago and picked up Bush. If McCoy can keep the defense on their heals with his running it will make the game a lot easier for Tyrod.

Tyrod needs to utilize Charles clay this year who did a lot of underperforming for us last year.  Robert woods is a name y'all may not know but he is a solid #2 and a good run blocker.

I think the Bills offense is where the pressure will be, at least for the Bills. They seem to be buying in to Rex's system and they did not last year but, I still believe there is butterflies. The offense will have to score 20+ points to win. Flacco is too clutch and far too underrated to leave it close.

All in all, I expect the Bills to make mistake and be hurting from having players suspended. Ravens win by 3, my bet.  Gotta run, meeting friends in a few

As far as Ray Lewis, I won't say anything more than we had OJ. Y'all got RayRay. It happens.  Both damn good players

Again, thanks

I love that he brings up "As for Ray", like he has to address the elephant in the room. A guy who hasn't been on the team for going on 4 seasons.

I think someone mentioned earlier that visiting fans should not take Ray's name in vane while attending the game.   lol

The notion that you compare OJ with Ray Lewis just goes to enlighten your ignorance about Ray Lewis. Never mind, I'm not going to spend time educating you on the greatness of Ray Lewis. The only way you would even begin to comprehend him is by having the time and disposition to do some research. You don't seem to be the type that actually reads up. You seem like a guy that listens to gossip without question.

Heres the good thing. If we are as awful as some people say here

Myles Garrett

:P

Myles Garrett may make it to the AFC North but it will most likely be with the Cleveland Browns.

I've been hearing Bills fans talking about the 5 int Flacco game often. I want to remind them of a couple of things. Flacco doesn't often throw 5 ints unless he's having a terribly off day (never often) and two despite those 5 ints the Bills barely squeaked through 23-20! And the game was played in Buffalo. This is a brand new season where every Ravens player including Flacco is fresh and he won't ever throw 5 ints. This game is in Baltimore where visiting teams seldom win and last but not least we simply are the better team.

That game was the first where it became obvious that our rushing offense was so pathetic that we simply had to stop trying. I remember freaking out for some time thinking, "run the darn football !!", before finally realizing that we simply couldn't.

I think we've gotten past that mess and I don't envision us being in the same predicament in 2016.

And it wasn't like Flacco had that many weapons to work with as well. Torrey Smith as a #1 (good luck Niners fans), Doss (is he even in the league any more?), Dickson (lol), old man Dallas Clark (sheesh), and Deonte Thompson. Give me a break. Not every INT was Flacco's fault either. I do remember a tipped ball (maybe two) leading to an INT. Could be wrong though.

Pretty sure 3 of those INTs came on tipped/dropped passes by our TEs (Clark and Dickson) anyway. Honestly, for having absolutely no running game, Flacco did better than one might have expected that day--it was still a close loss.

dallas clark was infuriating in that game. he tipped one that he shouldve easily had, and he pulled up and got alligator arms on another im pretty sure.

and yea, our running game was pathetic that year. i honestly think our 5-11 team was better than our 8-8 team, like if they lined up to play, the 5-11 team would wipe the floor with them.

That offense as a whole was infuriating in 2013. You know what's crazy though? Between the 19 losses from those two horrible seasons, a whopping FOURTEEN (5 from 2013 and 9 from 2015) were decided by 8 points or less.

These Bills fans remind me of the fans who came on and talked smack during the SB run. Except for the nice one

Or the Texans guy who came in before our 2013 game with them (so a few games removed from Joe's SB run) going on about how Schaub was better than Flacco. Derp.

I don't think that guy's signed in ever since that game either.

The compression stands because what happens of the field means nothing to what happens and all anyone will ever do is throw in nonsense about what happens off the field, whether Sam Mills type of amazing or Plastic Burress type of stupid.

Who cares about off the field these are our gladiators

Buffalo's a fine team but honestly I think we match up really well with them, it certainly won't be a blowout, but I think we'll take this with a comfortable 24-9.

im really quite flabbergasted... i think thats the best word to describe it... that this bills fan came in here, cool as a cucumber, as polite as could be, asked a few questions about the gameday experience.... and then completely out of nowhere, casual as ever, compared ray lewis' obstruction of justice to OJ's double throat slitting... as if it was a totally normal thing to just mention, like oh yea by the way we had a player murder 2 people and people like to joke that you had a player do the same thing hurrdurr...

what in the hell was homeboy thinking...
