I think our pass rush will hold up well with sizzle zds and judon. We'll need our DTs to get some push in the middle though for them to be effective. I think jernigan guy and urban are the keys up front. Also proper scheming, we gotta get some exotic looks in the nickel and dime and make use of levine orr and correa in the blitz

I think if you line up Pierce, Williams and Jernigan on the inside and Suggs and Judon on the outside, they would provide ample rush up the middle no?

The Doom absence COULD be a blessing in disguise. It'll be nice to get the young guys out there and see what they can do in a real game.

That's what I'm thinking(more so hoping) it turns out to be. Going to be nice to see Judon out there against regular starters and not just doing so well in preseason so we can see if he can handle starting offensive lineman. I'm sure Smith will get time out there as well in a split role I imagine, Smith first two downs with Judon coming in on third to rush Tyrod.

I think the emotion of this game will be at a all time high. This will be like a playoff like feel for the Ravens imo. With so many key players returning from injuries like Pitta, Flacco, Perriman, Forsett, Zuttah, SSS, Gilmore, Davis, Suggs and even guys like Jimmy, Wagner and CJ who are probably jacked to be 100% right now, their energy will be all the charts. Than you have guys like Wallace, Weddle and Hester as newly signed vets out to prove they are still high level players. On top of that this is a home game and the first opportunity to get the awful taste of 5-11 out of their mouths. Then of course there's the honoring of a fallen brother with the passing of Tray Walker(RIP #25) and if that wasn't enough you have the returning of Rex, Tyrod and Quick who'll add to the emotion of this game going through the roof from the Bills side because they'd love nothing more than to get bragging rights.

With the crowd rocking, the Ravens could have a great opportunity to jump on the Bills early and ride the momentum to a huge victory. Or the Bills could careless about all the emotion and come out and punch the Ravens in their mouth and see if a relatively young team can handle all the emotion. Should be fun!!!

He had his surgery way later than he probably should have.. Gonna take the veteran awhile to get back. I wish he would have had it earlier.

Could have kept Doom on PUP - guy practised for a few days n been on the shelf ever since, guys old let him rehab for the easy part of the schedule - come back fresh, when the schedule gets tough - lot of hindsight now re how some of our guys have ramped it up - judon

could have kept Ochi or Brooks

Since when did Judon overtake ZDS?

He didn't overtake him but ZDS has missed plenty of time and still has to work his way back, not to mention he's seen as questionable for this game so I wonder just how healthy he'll be.

In typical Ravens fashion,  the last part of the fourth quarter will require a substantial amount of antacid.

Obviously, they wanted Doom back, but the extra roster spot should have been a serious consideration.  From the sound of it, he reaggravated the injury, so it may not have been something they could have predicted.

He suffered a setback while practicing most likely, so you'd need a crystal ball to keep him on PUP.

If he didn't suffer a setback, you'd basically be advocating for keeping a very important, healthy player on the PUP list for like two months.

Yeah that would have been unwise IMO. First off like jacket said there is no way to predict a setback. The first half of the schedule is a lot easier than the second but if his recovery  time was slated for 2-3 weeks your suggesting we should have kept one of our best players on the sidelines while healthy for an extra month ? Him and suggs compliment one another. We need them both on the feild at the same time. Yeah he would've come back fresh but also rusty. All irrelevant anyway, what's done is done. Let's just hope we can get him back by week 3. A return of him and Dixon would be a great jolt to the team- esp if we go 2-0 without them. The momentum will only continue to build.

This is sad but true! And not because of the DiGiorno!

Doom officially out. That's a huge blow to the pass rush/defense.

It is being reported that he suffered a setback in his recovery. So this may end up being a multi week absence. What a way to start the new season. Right where we left off the last one with injuries.

Well, here's hoping ZDS, Pierce, and whoever else steps up.

Bills fan living in Northern VA here. I'm looking forward to this game. With a second year under the same coaching staff I think the Bills defense is finally making sense out of what Rex tried to implement last year. Tyrod is clicking better with receivers as well. I think there's a lot of confidence on both sides for this one. Attack the Bills LBs as they are the weak link in the Bills D. Cover the outside of the field as Tyrod has not yet shown that he can use the middle of the field effectively with any consistency. Don't ignore the fact that the Bills had the best rushing attack in the league last year. Incognito is a mauler on run O. Greg Roman fully plans to establish a ground and pound offense again. Those are my keys for a Ravens win. What are the Ravens weak spots? What should the Bills look to exploit?

K-Dog... Still have your old CW? If you're the k-dog I'm thinking of you'll know what I'm talking about.

Prost!

We don't know what the bills should do yet to stop us because we're so unknown. Attacking the left side of the line could either be devastating or totally fruitless because Stanley has been incredible so far but only in preseason. Focusing the run could make us 1 dimensional but our passing attack seems dangerous, nobody really knows. The intermediate and deep passing game is probably the way to beat our defense still.

No clue who you are, but sorta. I don't have my OLD CW any more,  but I restored and rebuilt one a few years ago. I still have that one.

I am also putting the finishing touches on my BITD 1985 GT race bike.

Where do you know me from?

Vintagebmx.com ... Probably almost a decade ago there was a guy that went by K-dog from the Baltimore area. I think I actually met you at one of the Rockville reunions in Fredneck.

Antacids and some anti anxiety medications as well. If we continue to do in 4th quarters especially on defense what we've been doing the past few years, I am going to aim an ash tray at Deen Pees on TV and break the damn thing!

we are the most unknown team in the league. Judging from last preseason where we totally sucked we seem to be a different team in many aspects and similar in some. I know more about other teams than this one, which is why i find it amusing when on the bills forum that they have us figured out lol

To be fair I'm seeing much of the same here. We're all homers at heart. Good luck! May the best team win.

true..all im saying is that last year we were considered by nearly all to be SB contenders. in 2014 with less offensive weapons we were 1 play away from the championship game. The key for us this year is the young guys on the D line..i think we have some gems there.

The nfl is unpredictable. You'll know or have a good idea how good a team is after 3-4 games

Not in the case of the Bills. They'll look stellar for the first five games then total collapse. Such is life for the lowly Bills fan.

I'm hoping for a much improved defense this season. I'm hoping Webb can smoothly transition into the safety position. I'm hoping Jimmy Smith is similar to Aqib Talib and becomes a pro bowl CB later in his career. I'm hoping Mosley builds off his rookie year success and solidifies himself as one of the premier LB'ers in the game. I'm hoping Dean Pees can be more creative with dialing up schemes to get to the QB. We have young guys with motors and need to put them in the best positions to succeed. I'm hoping Suggs can look as good into his 30's as DeMarcus Ware has.

On offense - It's simple. Solid run game and protect Joe. Kamar and Wallace on the outsides while SSS works the slot. I have high hopes for Perriman. I think he can be very Demaryius Thomas-ish.... in time of course. Goals for this season are to find his niche and improve his game each week... and stay healthy of course. Hopefully Maxx Williams has been watching a ton of Jason Witten tape. This is his season to differentiate himself. A ton of potential there.

The key this season is defending home field. No one should come into the Bank and do as they please.

This would be a great year to change that up and look horrid the first 5 game (or just the first), then go on a tear B)
