Notable Cuts - Other Teams

21 posts in this topic

Bronco's punter Colquitt was cut.  He joined in on the talking smack about Tucker's making a 70+ yard FG a mile high.

Instead of worrying about Tucker, he should have focused on his own job.

Not a cut but don't know where else to put this:

I would have taken that trade in a heartbeat. A former first rounder for a 6th?! There's no risk and a possible massive reward.

He hasn't shown the mental capacity to play whatsoever. Think a worse version of Brooks

Moving him from the circus that is the Cleveland Browns to a stable organization may do wonders for the kid. Like I said, there is no harm in trying if it's just for a 6th rounder.

Picture if he turns it around. The Browns would be kicking themselves for years.

This is interesting:

And these are not just any 1st round picks ... these are top 10 picks, year after year. Including one from just 2 years ago taken #8 and was the 1st DB off the board in 2014. Considering where he's gone, have to hope that the disappointment continues for Gilbert.

Teams rarely seem to trade for a player they believe will just be released later. I suppose making the trade guarantees you get the player, whereas waiting for the release is a waiver order situation (for players with less than 4 years) or requires you team outbid for the player who is then an FA (players that clear waivers or players with 4 or more years). Just seems most teams are willing to keep their future picks and take their changes with the waivers and with FAs.

Shows what a joke they are and speaks to their instability constantly changing gm and coach.

This was just an insane move. Unless there is some unknown suspension coming. Very short sighted move by the packers.
