[News] Breshad Perriman Ready To Play His First Game Thursday Night

25 posts in this topic

I am dying to see this guy go flying down the sidelines and catching a pass 5 yards behind the nearest corner. Am I hoping for too much, I don't think so. I watched Mike Wallace get a three step lead on a corner in the third game and Joe just missed him and when that happened I thought to myself, if that was Perriman, he would have had that and been streaking down the field. I could almost taste it. Now there is just another reason to watch the fourth preseason game (like I needed additional excuses).

I can't wait to see him too! Now we have speed on both sides.

Most likely we will see Perriman run a number of Go routes (9's). I'd trade that for more short to mid range routes, just so we can see where his is at fundamentally and also show other teams Perriman is no one trick pony. I'll wager teams will give an extra 5 yard cushion to Perriman that can be exploited all day, either underneath or if they challenge the underneath aggressively take the top off. All the other WR's will benefit from Perriman's speed, which will be scary for opponents. Easily Ravens best WR core yet, when all healthy.

"Me and Joe are getting the chemistry back" - back being the operative word which begs the follow up question. When was it that you built chemistry with Joe being injured and all...
But, seriously I look forward to a stellar and confident year from Perriman. I think he'll excel and make us forget about his 1st year here. Go Perriman!

Faster than a speeding ball, more powerful than a Joey Bosa, able to leap tall DB's in a single bound, why IT'S PERRIMAN!

Add Wallace with Smith in the slot position and we will have a dangerous WR corp.

What if Trestman/Harbaugh trolls us with a few 5 & out/ comeback routes for the first quarter in then sits him rest of the game. Lol

Shhhhh. ;)

It would be great if he just came into the league Odell style.

O'dell is the best WR in the league. I don't see that, but I do think he will be a mismatch nightmare for DB's. Flacco looked pretty sharp placing the ball other than missing Wallace deep on the first play. This offense is going to give other teams fits.

I discount that first throw. He was running on adrenaline.

Really looking forward to seeing the boy play. I just hope he doesn't try to do too much, too early. He's got a ways to go still but if he can stay healthy, we've got a heck of a WR core!

What?

In fantasy maybe. But in reality he's one of the better WRs. No way is he the best. That comment knocked me off the chair too lol

The Ravens should avg 35 -40 pts a game! Joe got an "ARSENAL"! The news just keeps getting better and better! Let the run be more of a surprise rather than becoming so predictable I'm calling the plays in the sports bar so I no the Defense see the same thing I'm seeing! Perriman, Triple " S ", Wallace, Aiken, Campy Butler, Moore! We still got TEs to hit them with so running will only slow this squad down! Smh WE THE BEST!

i know they are anxious to see him in a live game, but i cannot see the 4th preseason game is worth the risk playing him with a bunch of hacks on the field. he has not been able to stay healthy. i would rather hold him out until buffalo and see what he can do once the regular season starts. if he goes down with a strained hammy running against the 3rd team defense in a meaningless game, heads are going to roll.

I always thought he could be more of a Julio Jones style type of player but way faster. He's going to be a nightmare with his speed and corners and safeties might be exhausted.

I AGREE 100%. esp vs guys that are just trying to make huge hits and anything they can just to make a team

I know the argument of; "why risk him in the 4th preseason game where players are flying around the field trying to make a team?", but if he cannot withstand ONE hard hitting game.....what makes anyone think he can endure a 16 (or more hopefully) game season? No, I think this is a good confidence check that he can hack the grind of the NFL. Let's hope he shines Thursday night! GO RAVENS! 25

We heard the same crap about Elam. Oh, he is so fast. He makes up for his lack of size with his athleticism. Then, when he bombed at free safety, all we read was how he was a "strong safety", not a free safety. Well, he was crap there too. What no more lame excuses? Now they finally get rid of him. Perriman is another Elam. I don't understand the Ravens. They are so desperate for a speed receiver that they draft a guy who had trouble catching the ball. News flash, if you don't catch the ball, it doesn't matter how fast you can run. Now he has been "injured" for two years. Knees too, so where is all that speed gonna go? Lets see on Thursday night. I am expecting another loud thud, followed by more lame excuses the next day. Am I psychic or what?

No, you're a troll, I can't help but laugh. He's another Elam...you're right?? lol And you say now he's been injured for 2 years..?!?!? hmmmm, that's interesting, I guess this is year 3 for Perriman. Guess he skipped the whole sophmore slump season all together, hahaha. And I'm sure you won't be cheering for him this year at when he's catching the ball 3 yards behind Mike Mitchell. You'll probably just be shouting, "He's another Elam!!!" It's pretty sad to read comments like yours. But I guess every organization has "those fans"
