[News] Jeremy Butler Staying Steady While Balancing On The Bubble

Not only Butler earn a spot, he has earned more PT this season....His route running is more crisp, and he catches pretty much anything that touches his hands.....

hes not only the Ravens leading receiver but hes the NFL's leading receiver this preseason. What more can he do? If Kamar wouldn't have been on our team last year, I believe Butler would have been the one to step up and would now have a spot locked down like Kamar does.

Butler has done nothing but produce since he got here and has always been shoved behind players. Finally last year he got his chance and he did great. Now he leads the league in catches through the preseason and yet we are still talking about putting him on the bubble. With how physically weak the Ravens wide receivers are, they better find a spot for him because if we lose SSS, Campanaro and Perriman to injuries (and lets not pretend this is highly unlikely) then we will desperately need him. If we release him and the Patriots sign him and Tom Brady makes him look like the next coming of Jerry Rice, then I am going to be one unhappy camper with the coach and the front office.

Same, he has to make the team.

At this point, I don't even really view Butler as being on the bubble. He's just performed too well to be left off. Watson being hurt kind of opened up a roster spot among the offensive skill positions too, which helped him.

Especially since we cannot rely on Campanaro to stay healthy. Butler seems to stay healthy and he's been making plays.

He has a quiet demeanor and the determination to be a professional athlete. I hope he makes the final cut and I hope he excels in his craft. He has earned it.

It might be tough for Butler to man the 53 man roster but he might just make it. He did everything right and have earned a spot on the roster.

The way the Ravens are dropping I'm sure he'll get his chance.

I think he's right on the bubble but I think he probably will make it though. But that would mean we're keeping 7 wrs. Cuz there's no way we don't keep Camp,SSS,Aiken,Moore,Wallace, and Perriman. Looks like Aiken, Butler, and Moore will be playing some special teams. That'll probably toughen Moore up a little bit. I really hope Moore gets some punt return oppportunities as well.
Butler has played very well in the preseason. I agree with everyone. I think people are overeacting to preseason on a few topics though, but that's inevitable. But besides his good play so far and upside, I think there's one main reason why he makes the team. We really don't have any other big bodied wrs that can go up and make contested catches. And we really don't even know if he can yet in regular season games yet. But he's a different type of reciever than all of our other wrs. The things I just can't stop thinking this preseason are Flacco has WEAPONS. The Weddle addition is incredible. Though, they're rookies, Lewis and Stanley are looking like a sweet combo on the left side of the line for years to come. And what a 4th round!!! Judon and Dixon might be my favorites of the whole draft class!

They will keep Butler, especially considering that Campanaro is so darn fragile. I actually think they will keep 7 WRs and a total of 26 on the offense
What will be interesting is when Waller returns. I think his spot will determined by injuries. I guess the same applies to Boyle. Everyone else must be holding their breath on Perriman like I am.
