[News] Mike Wallace, Joe Flacco Connection Headed In Right Direction

13 posts in this topic

It was ok, but nothing to rave about. Gee, the quarterback and a receiver completed three pass/catches in a practice game. Start printing the Super Bowl tickets. It is much too early to get all worked up over. The same stuff was said about other receivers brought in by the Ravens as targets for Joe. Sorry, but Montana to Rice needn't worry yet.

The best throw to Wallace was the one he didn't catch. Joe threw a perfect low ball where no one but Wallace could catch it.  Unfortunately, Wallace dropped it.

I'm fine with that so long as when the season starts those are a thing of the past. Better they occur when the games actually count IMHO.

Good to see Joe back there, timing and getting to know everyone will come but don't waste time running gotta open it up and rip the lid off and light teams up! Make them tap out with Triple " S " Mike Wallace Kamar Aiken Campy and Co.! This team can average 40pts a game but you gotta feed them a heavy dose of Flacco like they did in the Super Bowl! And please do not have Mike Wallace catching balls in traffic 5 yds off the line of scrimmage 10 to 15 yds plus! WE THE BEST!

What I am feeling real optimistic about is seeing Perriman line it up. He is a mismatch nightmare and will draw a lot of attention. Try and single cover this dude and Flacco should air it out. There are no corners in the NFL that can run with him. That should open it up for Smith Wallace and Aiken, not to mention Gilmore and Pitta.
This is the most talented group of receivers Joe has ever had and probably the best in Raven history. With what looks to be a dominating offensive line and at least 2 (3 with Dixon) very fast scat backs that can catch the ball it seems that Joe just needs to read the defense correctly for good results.
If these guys don't put up 30 a game then we need to fire Trestman at once.

While I'm with you on just about all of that, pump the brakes on the Oline. Dominating?!?! Whoa man. Yanda is the only one we can really rely on. Not to mention 2 rookies on the right side...There's potential, but a lot of question marks with the Oline. If the Oline plays even good this year, I think we should definitely average 30 a game
