I'm glad Kevin started this out with the "Play Like A Raven" motto - because to me that line carries a lot with it. It is who we've been and I feel like we've gotten a little away from that in the past couple years - specifically on defense. So while I too am excited to see what the offense can do and if Wallace and Perriman can become impact players that are new to the team, I'm most interested in seeing how the defense approaches the game. 

It is the defensive side of the ball where the  "Play Like A Raven" motto was born. It is bringing that fear of God to the opponent. Call it organized chaos or whatever you like, it is about having a fly to the ball, gang tackle approach that can stymie the well oiled offensive machines and can cause marginal offenses to come apart at the seams. 

That's the #1 thing I want to see from the 2016 team. A return to defensive dominance. That may be a tall order, since we haven't even been what I'd call respectable in the recent past, but that is the pathway to our goals and I believe it is what the organization should demand from this unit.

I think Weddle is already a fan favorite, quickly becoming the Steve Smith Sr of defence. Ravens fans love swagger! embrace it! There are two types of players in my opinion, puddle players and ocean players, people walk through and over puddles like they are nothing, oceans....they destroys freaking cities! In my opinion, Weddle is an ocean player! GO RAVENS! 25

On paper I think we look far better than anyone in the media seems to give us credit for - especially since our team is better than last year where we lost all but like 2 games by less than 1 score. If we can stay healthy, based off of who we have, we should be able to give almost any team in the NFL a run for their money.

That being said, I have yet to see anything in the preseason that makes me believe that this team will live up to those expectations. Yes, its just the preseason, but in the first 2 games we've looked lost for almost the entire time that we've been playing against our opponents' first team players. It is worrying me greatly.
