when have you seen such a contortion and a player unable to put any weight on their leg and it being just mild sprain?

Even then he just dove on top of him no chance that wouldnt get penalized

This is why, when people are asked what they want to see out of an upcoming pre-season game, the #1 response is "no injuries". 

An otherwise positive performance is being marred.

I think it pays to wait for the full season before making that call. With the way Dixon's knee got twisted he'd probably have suffered a similar fate if they were playing on a jello surface.

KO suffered an abolsultely gruesome looking injury his rookie year in Houston. Had to be carted off. Looked like a season ender for sure. He ended up coming back and finishing the game. Just don't know severity until the MRI.

I'm sure the absolute shock and full weight of a 350 lb lineman on his knee probably hurt a ton.
