[News] Dean Pees Wants Faster Start From First-Team Defense

Seems so long ago that Ravens defense caused an opposition's offense  to worry. That they were in for a long day and they wouldn't be feeling so great the next day.

No one worries about facing this defense.

hate to admit this but until they prove us wrong you are 100% correct. this team has a lot of young guys but its time for them to start barking and backing it up. problem is pees does not know how to be creative and run the attack style defense. i do not blame everything on pees from last year because he had a lot of injuries which forced his hand as far as schemes. imo he is not the right guy for the job and we have let young and hungry assistants go that should have been promoted to dc. teryl austin (lions) and ted monachino (colts). glad frazier is on board if a need for a change must happen during the season. hope pees proves me wrong. he is an old dog without any tricks up his sleeve. not as bad as mattison but they are afraid to be aggressive and run that bend but dont break crap. you do not pay a cb shut down $$ to play 10 yards off of his man and as the dc not do anything about it. harbs should demand that this team be more aggresssive and ask pees why the cb's are playing so far off the receivers

I agree that it would be nice to see the D dominate from the first whistle to the last. But I liked how the opposing offense drives came to a halt in the endzone. I know not everybody likes the 'bend but don't break' series, but if it keeps points to a minimum I'm all for it.
Hopefully they hit a groove and start to dominate once the season begins.
