[News] Rookie Matthew Judon Flashing His Pass-Rush Prowess

15 posts in this topic

I didn't know that the sack he got on the 2pt conversion vs Indy doesn't count in the stat sheet. If it did, he would have 3 sacks in 2 games.

Judon has really impressed me.. this guy is more then just a potential rotational player. He has been everywhere on defense... possible future starter

I think Judon could really make a difference. He has impressed me so far, but I remind myself this isn't starting quality T's he is facing in games. I want to see him rush against a starting tackle and see how he does. It would be great if we had four guys that can consistently get pressure off the edge. Suggs, Doom, Zadarious Smith, Judon, and Correa if he isn't inside would be a good depth chart.

Really excited about Judon. In addition to his pass-rush skill, he's also shown signs of being able to stop the run, making some nice hustle plays as a pursuit defender. I really hope the coaching staff gives him some plays against the 1's next week--he's earned it.

I like this guy a lot although I feel he'd be better suited staying at the DE position that he was in college, and we could use one with kaufusi out for the year

The sack in the second game was helmet to helmet on the qb, and he made no attempt to strip the ball.

Imma just right this off as sarcasm, lol.

I have been disappointed for several years by the draft selections in the early rounds. I guess it proves you probably only hit on 1 out of 3 guys you draft at a position, if you are lucky. If Judon pans out, they basically wasted Correa and Kaufusi picks to me. But who knows, maybe they will improve as time goes on. Judon looks like a formidable pass rusher, and should be lining up on the outside to utilize his edge rush ability. I would not hesitate to play him equal snaps to Suggs to keep both guys fresher and allow Suggs to stay healthy as the season wears on.

How does his success make Correa and Kafusi wasted picks? Im trying but I have no way of even trying to figure out how that makes since

He has a lot of unlocked potential too he came in soft at the combine and still put up ideal size/speed/power numbers, provided he remains healthy imagine what a few years of technical and physical development could do. He has Justin Houstons ceiling.

5th rounders have really been golden for us over the last decade....My post draft picks to watch for were Judon, Henry, and Dixon, but it appears the entire draft class is one of the strongest we have had in years....

It does look amazing. Almost looks like KC and Kufasi are the biggest ?s to me. I'm with you on Dixon, Judon, and Henry. They're my favorites too. Lewis, Moore, Young look awesome too. Stanley might've been our smartest pick in years. We'll see soon
