[News] Breshad Perriman Confident He'll Be 'Worth The Wait'

42 posts in this topic

i'm happy to hear he says he hasn't lost any speed because sometimes with his first injury they say you do,it's great,i hope he dedicates his career to his father, not that he's passed, just that he dealt with similar things but had a great career.

i thought they could've kept him in a bubble until wk 6 , so we can see other WRs, like mathews and butler and camp.

This kid seemed so delighted to be playing football. All the naysayers out there respect his attitude and hard work and please don't focus on the past. Let's all just get behind this guy and help him excel by doing our part - be uplifting and optimistic instead of cruel and defeatist.

Perriman is about to unleash himself on the NFL. Anyone fast enough to hang wont be big enough, anyone big enough wont be fast enough. Dude can jump, has big hands...

I have a feeling we've got our version of Dez, Julio, B-Marsh, Hopkins, etc...

Good things come to those who wait.

Since we Ravens fans have been patiently waiting on the return of Perriman for what seems an eternity, his return must be the event we all have been looking forward to for a long time. Hopefully he is able to adjust quickly and become the true WR1 this team has been searching for for many years.

There isn't much talk about Perriman playing in the upcoming game (game 3) but a lot of talk about him getting action in game 4. Except his starting QB will be playing in game 3 and the backup to the backup starts in game 4. Seems to me if there is any game time chemistry to be developed, its this weekend not next. I know he needs to heal, but I don't see how a couple of scripted passes would hurt providing we dont have him running up and down the field all day and weakening the muscles surrounding the knee making an injury more likely. Get him out for a play or two and sit him for awhile. Then do the same a series later, and again a series later. Just a play or two. He really needs to get down the speed of Joe's ball and when your in a game and the adrenaline is pumping, Joe's ball probably has a couple extra miles per hour on it. If he's not going to play week 3 with Joe, then save an injury and don't play him week 4. What value is there to having him develop skills with Jerrod Johnson when Johnson isn't going to be here after next week.

I'm so glad that he's in such good spirits.  God knows he didn't deserve any of the VENOM from the so called Ravens fans.

There are/were many many fans that spewed the "bust" rhetoric on here. That he and Camp have discussed that is pretty telling. These guys don't want to be hurt. Sometimes I think people forget that. I think sometimes people forget that these guys are people. It's a shame. Just glad they have the armour necessary to deal with it all.

I loved him here at UCF. I cannot wait. There are so many people that just aren't aware of what this guy is capable of.

Out of curiosity any updates on his dad.  I haven't heard anything about him in awhile.

I knew he had had a stroke and was transferred to a different hospital in Atlanta in late May. But was still in critical condition.

This guy can become a beast in the NFL once he finally gets on the field. I'm excited for Perriman. He was very fast at UCF and he's faster than Mike Wallace. I really want him to play the 3rd preseason game so he could gets some reps and know how it feels like to play in the NFL so he could be ready for the season if not than we don't have to force it and let him get ready for the season. ?

No kidding. How would they be aware of what he is capable of?  Zero downs played is a small sample size.

Same story different year. I hope he proves me wrong but at this point I can't believe he will play. As the old saying goes. Seeing is believing.

I wish him all the best but lets not get to far ahead of each other we want to succeed not to fail in attempt to live up to a billing that wasn't meant for him we want him to be a team player do what he can and what he can't we accept. Serigo kindle was in the same predicament we had big hopes and thought he was our top pass rusher before the incident but I digress lets see him develop first before he becomes another sergio talented but never quite made it and kill the wr 1 talk he needs to prove he can be consitent and stay healthy like torrey

Perriman is a good reason Jake Bortles was drafted #3 Overall by Jacksonville. I too loved him at UCF and cannot wait to see him light it up!

"Embarrassment of riches" is correct. Not since the 2012 season and we even have more depth than then. If we can stay healthy... it's Raven's for the taking. Go Ravens!
