we produced a play almost exactly like that one against the Browns when on the final play of the game the Browns attempted a FG and Urban blocked it. Will Hill picked it up and ran for the winning score.

Well if anything the preseason is the best time to make mistakes so you can learn from and correct any issues for the regular season. Might have to bring back the team laps for everyone except the person responsible for committing the stupid penalties. This always seemed to work wonders as most players do not want to piss off the entire team like that.

The turnovers or rather lack of turnovers is a bit concerning but again they are not anything you can control that much. Being in the right position and keeping your head up and alert consistently will lead to turnovers eventually. Hopefully they are just waiting until the games count for real to break out the game changing plays.

I kinda blame Flacco for Pitta's latest injury. I mean Joe was pretty relentless teasing Pitta about being soft with the first finger injury. Plus now Pitta can't take the elevator because his finger isn't strong enough to push the button. Least he'll be in great shape taking the stairs for the next while...

As sad as it is and the day is coming, there are some guys that we would want to stay around that are going to be playing in a different colored jersey this year.

Butler may be the first. With Perriman off PUP, and unless Pitta goes on it, there isn't much hold out that Butler will be here. He's good enough to play, and when Camp or Perriman get injured we are going to wish we kept 7 WRs but right now, the numbers game got him.

I am not sure at this point if Buck Allen is going to make the team. Little to no production in the preseason, he really is doing nothing special to stand out above West and Dixon and that roster spot is precious. I think he makes it but to me he is really pushing it.

Elam is a foregone conclusion. Too many good players to waste a spot on the 53 for someone out for two months, if we put Pitta on the IR designated to return then Elam can't be on it, I say he plays somewhere else.

Jeremy Zuttah is not a name often heard of good or bad but based on what I have seen in preseason, after returning from an injury, Urschel beats him hands down as a center. Zuttah is getting manhandled, snaps are all over, he just doesn't look to me like a guy we need to keep with his salary and his production when Urschel has proven he can do it, and do it well.

Kyle Arrington. With his injuries and his play, along with some good young talent at CB this experiment has run its course. He may not even catch on somewhere else so he may not even be in another uniform this year.

Kendrick Lewis. This is where I am stumped. I spend a lot of time re-watching games on the NFL game pass app I have and he was just plain horrible last year. From what I have seen so far, he isn't any better. I don't know why he is, where he is on the depth chart. At the end of last year I couldn't even imagine he would be here for training camp, yet he is slated to make the roster. If anyone has seen anything Kendrick Lewis has done, please let me know because I have been watching and watching and I can find nothing.

Sorry for the length...

week 1 will speak volumes as to where this teams areas of concerns are. hard to judge in the preseason with both coordinators showing vanilla schemes.

The new rule says you don't need to specify who returns from IR, you can bring back any one (1) player who was on IR, no designation needed.

Plus, if Butler keeps doing what he is doing, he is making the team unless he really screws up something on special teams.

I agree with you from every aspect except I believe that Butler will make this team. We need the depth & he has proven he can play, something we have yet to see from perriman. I just don't have Faith in Perriman anymore, I don't see him panning out well fro this team, then if he does i'll eat my words. As for all other points in your post I agree wholeheartedly 100%

The Closer we get to week 1 the more I get worried about our team, I will wait till 3rd preseason game when most starters on both sides play more to analyze any further but right now Me as well as other Ravens Nation attendee's are probably sweating a little bit. I know it's Only Preseason but still something got to give, yah know? Also What's with all this comments from some people stating we going all the way THIS IS OUR YEAR & SUBER BOWL, in August? Lmao I mean Come On! We aren't even close to being a Complete team and Fans Calling US Best Ever & SB champs lol Reel in the Reins a little more why don't yah. This team is looking more & more like a 9-7 team or 10-6 team but even that's pushing it. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we went 8-8 or 7-9. Which would be a HUGE disappointment, with the talent we have we could become a 11-5 team to 13-3, we just need to put the Puzzle pieces Together! Man I miss the days when we where the Top Dogs in the AFC North & Teams we scared of us & Scared to come to M&T Bank....No they Mock Us...At least we have had the Steelers Number as of Late, But even that probably won't happen again this year something just tell me that they sweep Us this year. All in All if the chips fall right we should be the second best team in our division when all is said n done. Squealers win the division but We come in second place putting Cinchy in 3rd.

My take is we end up keeping seven WR, and butler makes the team. Given the health issues of the rest of our WR's, I think the Raven's need to have him as at least an insurance policy. He might slide through wavers, but are they willing to take that chance? So hard with these bubble guys. With Elam out, Brooks should make the team. Levine has been playing great, plus excellent special teamer, so I've got him in. I like Ochi, and Lewis-Moore looks good at times, but they play at loaded positions. I don't know if there's room for either of them.. Do we really go with four RB's AND four TE's? Plus, we still look a little weak at CB. And I have to agree about K. Lewis: does he have incriminating photos of some of the brass? Guy has not impressed at all, last year or so far this year. Why does everyone still say he's a lock to make the cut? I agree, any of you K. Lewis supporters, what has he done for the Raven's except collect a paycheck and look pretty blah on the field?

Who mocks us? After one losing season in the past 8 years? Dont know who you're hanging around - but youre missing out on some pretty obvious come backs for any fan base that mocks the Ravens.

And people are excited and saying SB bound bc thats what its all about. Right now, the season hasnt started and everyone has an equal shot of winning it all.

Btw - we didnt just look like a 9-7, 10-6 team in 2012... we actually were and won the SB. Its all about getting hot at the right time, and having guys that can do it.

We have that. No reason not to be optimistic until proven otherwise.

I see what you mean I'm just being bit of a realist I guess. I see your point though & it's a good one to boot. people who mock us I meant the Nation al media, Steelers fans, Patriots, Any Fan Base That isn't the Ravens (But is a Relevant one). We are always being mocked & Put down as a Organization & a Fan Base...I'm Sick Of it.

There is a lot of time left to develop this team. It may ttake us 8 games into the season until we really start playing well, I just hope that we are not 2-6 or 3-5 at the time. We need a good start with the way our schedule finishes. We have the talent to be 11-5 or maybe a little better, but it's also hard to consistently win in this league. Look at how many games we lost by a TD or less last season. This year we may get lucky and win a majority of those games. We may have enough talent to come out on top instead of falling a TD short, that's the difference between 5-11 and 11-5. As long as we are in a playoff position at the end of the season, it really doesn't matter what your record is as long as you get hot at the right time. We lost 3 games in a row in 2012, blew out the Giants, then the rest is history (week 17 we sit the starters). Don't panic yet, I understand your stance though. There are concerns, but we could also be a lot better when the season begins, or as bad as you think. I hope we stay healthy, because I think we are going to compete every single week with whoever we play. Hopefully we just come out on top.

GO RAVENS!!

I have a couple predictions

I think we keep 7 wr's with SSS, PERRIMAN, AIKEN, WALLACE, CAMPANARO, BUTLER, and MOORE.

I think Tavon Young becomes a starter early in the season. With wright and Powers struggling.

I think Terrence Brooks starts in place of Lewis at some point in the season

And I think ppl need to stop panicking over the bills defense wk1. They underperformed last year and honestly don't worry me.

Lewis is not a starter.
In fact, until Elam was hurt I think Lewis was expendable.

Still would love to see us put Dean Pees on IR!

The players need to be together, all the players. Our most valuable players haven't reach the field yet. This is a work in progress and it's going to take some time. I see a winning season but it will be a challenge to get to post season play. Pees shouldn't be blamed for everything.

To be honest, I never really believed this "we're gonna concentrate on turnoverst this camp" claim. sounds good of course, and I can totally understand why it's been designated as one of the key messages of the FO - but, in reality, turnovers are, by nature, one of the most important things for any NFL defenses, therefore it's always been focused on... Yep, the tennis ball trick is nice - but all in all, as Ed Reed said, turnovers is mostly about instincts - and it seems we're low on instincts in the secondary. Ergor, I don't think we should be expecting a rapid and steep increase in the number of turnovers this season - maybe Weddle will do it...

Last season, the Bills D was #19 in total yards/game allowed, #18 in points/game allowed, #24 in forced turnovers/game... doesn't sound like a formidable D... and I don't think they've gotten significantly stronger in the off season... Ryan had a great D in New York and before that in Baltimore - but in both places he had terrific rosters to cook with. In Buffalo he doesn't. Just like Billick was a great OC in Minessota partly because he had good players on that side of the ball - in Baltimore he was always given a mediocre offensive talent pool - and he couldn't make it significantly better.

Rex Ryan can only do so much with the talent pool he has in Buffalo.

It's a little scary that we have not heard or seen anything from Kamalei Correa our second round pick. Little concerning. Just a little.

It's a little scary that we have not heard or seen anything from Kamalei Correa our second round pick. Little concerning. Just a little.

He had a nice play against the Irsays last game where he came free on a weak side blitz and batted the pass.

week 1 will speak volumes as to where this teams areas of concerns are. hard to judge in the preseason with both coordinators showing vanilla schemes.

No kidding, Rex and defense is going to show the Ravens what the Ravens use to look like. Ravens offense will do good this year but just not in this game.

With no Mario Williams, Dareus, Shaq Lawson, or Ragland......I'm not too worried about the offense in game 1. They do have 2 very good corners but not too much else. If our O line even plays average, we have way too many mismatches to not make defenses pay on a consistent basis. We might not put up 30 against the elite defenses, but Buffalo is not 1 of them, esp week 1. If Perriman is ready, we'll see what happens when Rex brings his blitz with Mike Wallace and Perriman streaking the outside, and SSS and our awesome group of TEs running across the field. Tyrod, Shady and Watkins posses and interesting challenge for any defense, but I will be very surprised and dissapointed if we don't take game 1 in our house

They underperformed last year and honestly don't worry me.

not to mention theyre missing Dareus, Mario Williams, Ragland and Shaq Lawson. They really only have 2 good corners in that case and we're loaded with skills players. I think we put 30 up week 1, esp if Perriman is back
