I don't see why they cant have him out there with a cast on and just running routes and catching with his good hand. At least he be getting time with Joe.

Well, I think we can all agree the injury is quite absurd, but after all the time Pitta has already missed, I'm sure the coaches know that risking further injury would be ill-advised. Also, he probably has better chemistry with his best buddy Flacco than anybody else on the roster, so they aren't overly concerned with the extra reps before he's fully healthy. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they place him on PUP-designated to return to make room for a guy like Jeremy Butler, although I hope they'll both be in the team's plans for week 1.

I wouldn't want him out there. He is too valuable. If he misses a couple weeks that shouldn't be a problem. We need him 100% not banged up.

Obviously the team hasn't revealed many details about the injury, but if it's a spiral fracture, which by the sound of it might be the case (considering how it happened and how they thought it was just a strain), then it might take a lot more time to recover than we'd like. Talking about months here.

I had spiral fracture from playing football once and it took close to 5 months to recover fully. Some cases might even need surgery. Ofcourse Pitta has world class medical staff at his disposal. But if that's the case just don't be surprised if we don't see Pitta at the beginning of the season.

Because at this point he still has a good hand.

I know the fight was stupid and I bet Correa feels terrible about it but has anyone else noticed that since Joe got into his face that we have heard little to nothing from Correa. He got the tip on a rush against the Colts that Orr almost intercepted but other than that, I haven't heard anything recently from him where he was getting a ton of publicity before the incident. Hope that laid back, quiet QB of ours didn't get into his head. Hey, knowing how reserved Joe is, I am sure his wasn't the only pair of pants that needed changing after Flacco went off. When I heard it I almost had to change mine.

Man.... We have lost Kafusi, Pitta and now Elam.... (already have Sizzle, SSS, Dumervil, Perriman and Joe on the mend).... Hope that injury bug leaves us alone this year.

That's kind of ridiculous to even consider. If an NFL player let something like that get under their skin and effect  their game that would be pretty sad. I'm guessin KC is a little more thick skinned than that.

As far as pitta just imagine how frustrating that has to be to work that hard to get back asnd then have something else so petty hold you back. Esp considering it was self inflicted. Hope we get him back before week one but those injuries tend to linger and can be a real pain in the butt. Really sucks BC he was really clicking with Joe too and had picked up right where they left off. Outperforming everybody and on his way to becoming comeback player of the year. Buzz kill for sure.

Well I do agree this is an absurd injury. Why you fighting with your team mates? It takes two to tango, so don't anyone start blaming one or the other.

So next thing on my mind is, who are the TE's to start the season, barring any more injuries?

Watson (starter)
Gilmore
Pitta (injured)
Waller (suspended 4 games)
Boyle (suspended 10 games)

Sure seems like a good time to flex Juice out to TE and use that versatility of his.

Please do not injure anymore of your team mates!

How incredibly frustrating. I wanted Pita to get comeback player of the year, but they'd probably give it to RG3 anyway if he has an average season.

Its 3 weeks to game one. There is time for him to heal and like someone else said..we got Watson and Perriman is OFF the PUP list! DAMN.

If Pitta didn't have bad luck he would have none at all. Fortunately no one was counting on him. Watson, Gilmore and Williams should be more than enough at the TE position.
If Dennis recovers and comes back to contribute then that's just a bonus. I think he is close to the best we have talent wise but it's close between him and Gilmore.

Also, if he doesn't come back soon then we won't cut Boyle. Boyle is actually a beast and is very underrated.

I agree. I would hate to lose Boyle. If we cut him its gonna come back to haunt us.

Lets hope its not the only time we hear Correa's name the whole year. As a #2 pick with all the hype I wasn't expecting him to play behind Orr and McClellan.

I just hope he still has it and didn't lose his edge he's been out a long time praying he is still awesome

Unitas threw a pass one time and jammed his pointer finger into a pass rusher's helmet. Knocked the finger out of the socket. He goes to the sideline and the trainer pops it back in. He's good to go for the next play. 20 years later he couldn't sign autographs because the finger was so arthritic.
Pitta has a little crack in his finger. There are four others on that hand, so why not just use them.

really? good idea... Yeah Dennis go block against the best and catch bullets from Joe Flacco with a broken bone in your finger..Not to mention the part about it completely busting if it takes a shot right now...Thanks for your comment though. And if you're joking my bad. I just can't stand the lame/negative comments on this site. Esp about Perriman

Lame/negative comments, huh! So, basically, everyone who disagrees with you? I wouldn't hold my breath about Perriman.

Anybody with half a brain would have saw this conformation coming. Just shows this "team" is really in disarray at the core (coaching level). This is exactly what happens when one person has all the power and no one else can/will step up and take control because of the power structure. Ray had a core group that maintain control but you all seen how John resented that. Its not rocket science. Leadership 101.
