we can all say goodbye to Jerrod Johnson. Butler is really looking good. The running backs seem to set up and start a lot farther back than the Colts running backs do so ours have to run 5 yds just to get to the line of scrimmage. Pees better quit being so timid when the other teams starting QB is in. We play WAY off the receivers.

We've shown this year that we can win those close games that we lost last year. If we can just snatch victories out of the jaws of defeat unlike last year, we'll be ok. There is a lot to improve on both offense and defense though. Especially the defense proved to be very leaky and unable to sustain leads or even contain offenses on the move. That is sad to watch knowing our storied defensive past.

Ravens starting D has gotten schooled by Newton and Luck. Not looking good.

There are a couple of players that I think stepped their game up. Butler has played well against the opponents first and second defensive backs. Judon is abusing the second team tackles. Brooks looks like the best tackler in the secondary. Levine has been solid. Where was Price?
On the flip side , there are guys that need to step. First, Dean Pees defense is predictable. He needs to go for the Ravens to move forward. Until then the offense will have to carry the team regardless of the talent on defense. Our first team defense can't get off the field. Completing 3rd and long has to be on the coach. Picking up 23 yards on 3rd and 17 is ridiculous. Powers and Elam look lost. They are always looking in chase mode.

Penalties. Please talk about them. There were enough to talk about. Offensive line got bullied in the ground game and if not for Johnson's feet would have looked worse in the passing game. Secondary let guys run open all night long. The defense was lucky, not good. Terrence West has to stop trying to be cute. Matt Elam did not have a good game. Defensive players are supposed to make tackles. I won't commend a guy for finally doing what he's supposed to be doing in his 4th season after being a first round pick. Judon is putting up numbers against 3rd stringers. Get him in the game earlier and see if he still stacks up. Why not? That's what the pre season is for, right? Haven't heard Correa's name.
