Canady is gonna be out for a bit I think. Harbaugh said he's got a hamstring injury.

Starters need to play a FULL half. I personally feel that detroit are pretty weak so if they struggle again to stop drives i think the panic button needs to be hit. reminds me a lot of last year. i honestly dont see that much difference.

I think he'll go to IR but I don't think there's anything phantom about it. Seems like a young guy that needs to work on his conditioning/nutrition a bit to compete consistently in this league. He got juked out of his cleats. Clearly has solid instincts, excited to see him next training camp.

Gotta make sure to have a bucketful of RoyalFarms chicken for Haloti while he soaks in the ice tub.

I haven't seen any Haloti commercials lately.

When I tailgate with the people in the old Bowie Nest in Lot H, one of us makes sure we get that bucket of Royal Farms Chicken by 10 am, sharp!

Stafford looked OK to me spreading it around to their guys, their run game looked poo though. should be a perfect test for our secondary - jones, Tate and boldin. Fingers crossed we show some fight, better coverage - quietly thinking it'll prob be a whole lot more of the same, with s few big plays mixed in. Prove me wrong guys

That's why it's the phantom IR. If Jimmy Smith had the same injury he'd either be playing or the team would ride it out and wait for his return. Instead he's a rookie who could use another year of conditioning and training, so it's off to IR with a stubbed toe. If that's what the coaches roll with.

Maybe ... I hope not. Personally, I think the guy could use the work and experience. It so often seems like when we do that, the guy we IR never really comes back and can contribute. I think Canady is playing pretty well so far and would like to see him grow. Our CB corps isn't exactly all what you'd call rock solid, so any potential help he could bring later in the season, will be worth the wait. Hopefully this is just going to be a rest for a week type thing.

I hope so too I just don't see a way to fit him on the roster after crunching the numbers. The only way I see it is if we choose to go with him over a guy like powers. Tough call. Lotta talk about powers during camp but hasn't performed so hot in the first two games.

I think the secondary could be shaken up this week. I think it was pretty much a forgone conclusion that Powers would be the slot CB because the team signed him to fill that role and he did well in OTAs, but Davis was still recovering at that time and the Ravens really didn't know what to expect. But now that he's healthy he's clearly one of the best cover corners on the Roster and I just don't know how you keep him off the field when he's better than both your #2 and Slot CBs. It'll be interesting to see if he gets first team reps.

If Lewis is healthy does he continue to be the 3rd safety in sub packages or does Elam now claim that role. I thought he was really comfortable and explosive in that role vs the Colts. If Lewis loses that role I think he may just lose his roster spot as well.

I'll also be looking for the Dime defense. For as much as people say this package will be a huge part of what the Ravens will do this year,I can't help but notice the formation is only run with the 3rd unit defense. The top unit should see at least 2 full quarters of action so I want to see the Dime deployed while those guys are on the field to see what it looks like.

On offense, I know Trestman doesn't like to show much, but I wanna see this offense open up a bit with Wallace, Moore and Camp. I wanna spread the offense out and let Joe go to work for a quarter or so. Moore had one deep opportunity last game but Johnson predetermined his read and threw a pick.

I just wanna see the ST unit freaking cover a kick successfully one time. The coverage unit is looking really shaky. I know a ton of rookies, young players and guys who won't even be here are filling those units, but I still wanna see better effort.

I too would like to see guys like Davis and Young play against the 1st teamers just to see. I think Wright and Jimmy can play the 1st series or two but then lets see if these other guys can matchup. How in the world can you tell if they don't get a chance?

I personally would be comfortable with Elam as my 3rd safety but right now I'm too scared to cut Lewis and I would like to see how he could perform in big dime.

I just want to see one Joe to Wallace deep pass. Its not like we'd be showing them our playbook if we did that. The opponents gotta know its in there lol.

SpTeams was lacking in the last game on kickoffs both receiving and defending. We couldn't even get it to the 20 let alone the 25 while we couldn't stop them from getting to the 25. Campanaro was solid in punt returns. I just want somebody that is gonna catch the ball.

All for Davis getting playing time, but not sure that slot corner is the right way to go with him. Don't think he really fits well there.

If Shareece Wright were to struggle, I could see him pushing for snaps there. Plus, since we play a lot of nickel and dime packages, he could be the 5th or 6th DB on the field in a lot of cases. Still think its reasonable for him to play somewhere around 30-40% of snaps during the season as the 3rd outside corner.

If he's ready to go, he should play or I believe week 1 to be a very slow and rusty game offensively (like 2014 week 1 against the Bengals).

That's what makes Davis special. He can play inside or out, much like Webb was able to do. In fact I see a lot of Webb during his prime years in Davis. I don't know how bad the injury Powers suffered is, but when Davis stepped in for him in slot he fared exceptionally well. I believe he was targeted twice and gave up 2 completions for only 6 yards, both coming i long yardage situations. He also was had 3 tackles in those 10 snaps i saw him in the slot.

I think he could still see plenty of time as a 3rd CB, but I think he'll see a lot of time in the slot if that's the case. If Wright were to continue to struggle than I don't think the Ravens would have any issue putting Davis in.

Considering there's a decent number of guys on offense who won't be playing this weekend or probably at all in the Preseason, that's likely to be the case regardless.

Just not sure the reward outweighs the risk at this point. He's a 9th year player... I'm not concerned about the reps or the "rust" of playing in an actual game.
