Go Ravens

Yahoo Sports Team Ranker

We're currently at 77% in this poll. It is a poll in which the rankings of the teams are based upon the percentages of people who rank a particular team as more likely than another team to win the Super Bowl. Here's the current results;

1.San Diego (88)

2.New England (87)

3.Indianapolis (86)

4.New Orleans (83)

5.Baltimore (77)

6.Chicago (77)

Something isn't right about this poll, as is obvious. Why are we behind the Saints? Why are we just barely above the Bears and Rex "Turnover" Grossman? I think we need to fix the results of this poll by strategic voting.

To bad the Ravens I don't see are listed anymore to vote for on team ranker all I see is some stupid poll.

Saying"Which team is more likely to win the SB? Cincinnati Or San Diego. What the hell kind of poll is that Bungels are not even going to the playoffs! unless they earn a wild card.... Won't be surprised if the Brown's do that!. Boy oh Boy would that be GREAT ****sburgh and the Bungles don't get in at all and the Brown's earn a wild card.. We obviously win the AFC North again like usual!!.

It's fan rankings what do you really expect? There's bandwagon fans of all teams but personally I'd say there's more Patriots, Chargers, Bears and ESPECIALLY Saints bandwagon fans.

Besides most polls are pretty lame to begin win. =]

I have noticed QUITE a few bandwagon fans here myself I have seemed to catch on this MB. I wont say who but it is probably since we won a SB, got Steve McNair, Willis McGahee and of course have Ray Lewis and ever since we won the AFC North last title year & how our Defense always is around #1 and how they play LOL.

A lot of talk was about us going to SB XLI last year, making our second SB trip.

So I think those things have played a lot on some new Band Wagon fans coming along this year and joining this here MB they are kind of easy to pick out. Even though they think they are fitting right in I just have no need to approach them and start any trouble.

Well you're always gonna have bandwagon fans when you have a good team no matter what. All I meant in my earlier post was that at least IMO, there's more Chargers/Patriots/Saints/Bears bandwagon fans then Ravens. And yes bandwagon fans are always easy to pick out absolutely.

And what, not be a troublemaker? I'm ashamed of you! Kidding of course..

These popularity contest polls are about right, IMHO. The Patriots came within a whisker of taking it all last season, and added impact players (Thomas and Moss) on both sides of the ball. They deserve the conventional wisdom #1 rankings that most sportswriters and fans are giving them. The Chargers, Bears, Saints, Colts are all tough teams which comprise a second tier of serious contenders. The Ravens lost one impact player, and the changes to RB and OL have yet to prove themselves. Our team deserves to be in that 2nd tier, but I honestly don't see a big difference among any of the 2nd tier teams - i.e. the Ravens could be anywhere from 2nd to 6th -- which is where most power polls show our team.

If you end up with the Ravens as one of the teams and you open your votes in new windows, you can vote the Ravens as the better team repeatedly. Its good that we're at 78, but we should be #1, just to irritate that fantasy football "expert" on Yahoo who happens to be a Ravens hater (he's a fan of the Seahawks, but also ridiculously overrates the Browns).

Update: We're now #4 at 79%

1: San Diego (89)

2: New England (89)

3: Indy (88)

4: Baltimore (79)

5: New Orleans (78)

6: Chicago (78)

EDIT: Vote Link to vote Ravens against the Colts

I like how they're doing the poll. It makes sure fans can't jump on there and just keep voting for their team over and over again. Even deleting cookies doesn't help.. I was personally surprised to see the Bills all the way up at 25.. HA

These polls are so stupid, every fan of every team thinks that their team should be rated higher, when in actuality the polls are about right...for a popularity contest. The NFL season is unpredictable, these polls are meaningless.
