Dive on in guys!

Hard to dive into a pool with no water... Well, not hard, but it's going to hurt.

Games haven't started yet.

Still need to fill the pool after the offseason cleaning

At least you're learning from your mistakes from LAST season.

Hey this will be the first time in four or five years I have not been on vacation and not able to watch preseason game one.

I know it's only preseason and it's preseason game 1, but i'm so excited for this team to start the process of washing that filthy taste of 5-11 out of their mouths.

If he's cleared to play, i'll assume he's healthy enough to play and i'd give both Stanley and Urschel the entire first half together. I'd give the right side of the line one or two series than pull them. I think we know what we have in Zuttah, Yanda and Wagner.

Hard not to be excited about this game and the upcoming season. Ravens have a lot to prove. Was it the injuries last season that sapped our team or was it that the team really wasn't as talented as we thought? I think it was the injuries personally. There are a lot of new names in town I am excited to see on the field and in action. I am sure we all have our special people we are keying in on and want to see step up and show they can produce. Really looking forward to it.

Wagner's another season removed from that lisfranc injury he suffered and played through last year. I'd like to see him long enough to determine whether he's the 2014 version of himself again. If so, I'm tickled pink.

The first preseason game won't tell you that. We'll find that out about him when the real bullets fly.

With Stanley and Urschel those guys need as much in game experience with each other as possible before the real bullets fly. Urschel needs to get used to the LG position while Stanley needs NFL experience and they both need to get comfortable working with each other.

Even though they dealt with injury, Wanger, Yanda and Zuttah have spent plenty of time together over the last 2 years. It's more important to keep them healthy for the season then to get them work right now.

I think if Wagner struggles in the preseason that will be a pretty good indicator the foot might still not be 100%. The very first game might not show you that, but I think the course of the preseason would. Hopefully it isn't an issue because he was very good for us in 2014 and it would be great to have him back in that form.

Urschel has played quite a bit of LG already, but I agree with you that more snaps alongside his starting mate would be a good idea, but in that sense I think they should also be in there with their starting center for the same reason since he's the one calling out the blocking assignments.

Finally, football is back!

My mom won 3 tickets to tomorrow night's game in a giveaway at her work, so I'll be there! Can't wait!

Our offense is in for a SHOCK when they meet that Panthers front seven, that could ruin this game, they have a REALLY (good) defense.

Outside of turnovers our defenses were actually pretty close

Congratulations Ravens fans, you've made it it's officially game day!!!!!! That long sorry off-season with the taste of 5-11 is finally over. No more need to watch YouTube clips and the replay of the top 25 CFB to see what type of potential Ravens rookies have(maybe that's just me?) the Purple and Black are finally back live and in color.

If their whole front 7 plays, i imagine itll be for one series.... and not at full speed.

No one wants to get injured, no one wants to injure anyone else (unless youre the Redskins), and for the most part i think we'll just see the 1's shake the rust off and go through the motions.

This game is about the middle and back end of both rosters.... which still might be scary for us - i dont really know. Guess we're gonna find out.

Ahhhh,  today is such a great day. Heads down flying through work to get through it as fast as possible. Bringing the laptop and chromecast home so i can, uhh listen on the radio......

It just feels like football. Something in the air.

On the way to work this morning (I work in the Philly area) i was listening to 97.5 The Fanatic (actually a great sports station, love the personalities and they get great guests on the regular) and the morning show on Thursdays does a special called "The Meat Locker" where the host Anthony Gargano (you may know him if you listen to Pardon My Take, he was the guy they made wait on hold, and he ended up apologizing for being jealous of their success) brings on other meat head type guys and they just talk football...

Not the typical media drivel - like the locker room stories that dont get told, the X's and O's that casual fans cant sit through..... to give you an example they once did an almost hour segment on the great QBs where they played audio of them from NFL films pre-snap or in the huddle during great games or great moments, and analyzed the difference in command that some guys have. For me, awesome edge of my seat kinda stuff - but for some, dry as sand.

Anyways, this morning listening to Brian Baldinger and Vai Sikahema talk about their time in the NFL (they're the two regular meat heads), and as former Eagles they know John Harbaugh pretty well from hanging around the franchise and reporting on the team... so they discuss him all the time, what makes him great, how they wish he was the Eagles coach, etc...

Just got me jacked for today. Football's back - it should be a national holiday. 5-11 is officially gone, and the excited hope of a Super Bowl looms large like a kid who cant sleep from the anxious anticipation of discovering what Santa left him.

#RavensNation baby.

Seriously, dont bring any negative crap around here today. Not bc there isnt merit, or theres nothing to be negative about with this team - there is. But, c'mon... this is what its all about. This is the point of being a fan. The Boys are Back, and if you arent excited, if your blood isnt pumping, if you dont want 16-0 then get outta the way or get run over.

Ladies and Gents, thank you for helping me get through the dull hum of the offseason. Sincerely appreciated. Now lets kick some Butt.

Yes, the season opens today...  Some have said it's "only preseason".  Well, it's never ONLY preseason.  Let's have some fun tonight.  I cannot watch, as I am in FL, and they are airing New Orleans - P*triots.  My Nephew by marriage, Erik Harris is playing in his first NFL game tonight.  He's a Safety for the Saints.  (I am very proud).  Erik's worked so hard for this.  Praying he makes the 53.

Ugh, been waiting for this for so long.  Lots to learn tonight, but it'll be even more interesting in the next few weeks to watch our returning injured players and see how they transition back into the game.

Your WRs tonight... Jeremy Butler, Chuck Jacobs, Dobson Collins, Keenan Reynolds, and Kaelin Clay.  That's it.

First team offense might be hard to watch without like half of its starters. More interested in the defense tonight.
