I don't like the special jersey drama for a game this big. Sometimes something as simple as jersey color affects the players. I'd rather just leave it be.

Agreed. Just ask the 2005 Steelers during their playoff run; since they were road warriors, they decided to buck tradition and wear their white away jerseys for the Super Bowl, despite being the "home" team. Sometimes, jersey color is (strangely enough) important.

The all blacks are GONE. They are not an authorized NFL uniform anymore and are not listed as a potential alternate because Harbs does not like the look of them, we haven't won in them, and we are now in a new era. The choices for uniforms are:

Purple top / White pants
White top / Black pants
Black top / White pants

Not saying this doesn't mean you don't support your team, I was always curious as to why a football team would use purple.

The black unis were the best, but Harbaugh probably thinks the uniforms took attention away from the team. Or maybe it's just more demoralizing to an opponent to lose to a bunch of guys in purple lol.

Personally I buy my Ravens jerseys in either black or white, no purple yet....

And I'll never wear purple camo, sorry but I just can't do it.

Just be thankful we haven't busted out purple pants yet!

I don't know how the Vikings do it, but I don't think their barbarian namesakes would be very keen on purple

The purple is there due to when you look at an all black bird, the light can sometimes give it that hue that hints at purple. Besides, purple has always been the color or Royalty.

By the way, Steelers are not in Black and Gold; I'm tired of seeing that, and any other fan should correct them right away. The colors are black and yellow, period. If you say it's gold, then explain what colors the New Orleans Saints are in. I know you probably don't want to be known as wearing "yellow" as it does not sound manly or whatever, but it *is* yellow.

On that note, I agree about the Vikings in purple; can't figure that one out. But I also don't understand why the Steelers picked yellow. Black, no problem, good color for representing the steel workers and mills of early Pittsburgh, but yellow? Guess Black and Silver were already taken by the Raiders, but IMHO those colors would have been better for a team in a city of the old steel industry.

Oh, and the Ravens have gold (not yellow) in their colors, as an "accent".

First off, no one feels bad about it. If you don't like the purple you can buy white or black. Secondly the Titans uniforms are the most hideous uniforms in the league. And third I believe the Ravens have one of the most unique logos in the NFL. Not the bird head but the shield logo patch that incorporates the Maryland state flag.

Actually I would be happy if they just stuck with the normal road jersey. Why break away from the norm at this point?

And there is only a 40% chance of a snow shower for the game. The only thing that may be an issue will be the cold weather but both teams will have to deal with it. And we played just fine in the cold weather this year. Did you go to the Ravens/Redskins game this year?

the last NFL game I attended was the Baltimore Colts vs vs the Pats at Memorial stadium and dad got us on the Colts side line to watch the game, which the Colts won

As stated, Purple is and has been a symbol of Royalty. I love our Purple.. As for the Gold or Yellow... Our Jersey is trimmed with GOLD (Ravens) The Steelers are certainly Black and Yellow. Call a spade a spade, that's what I say.

it black and yellow the saints are gold i would rather wear puprle than yellow

Pittsburgh colors are black and mustard (Heinz), I think Heinz is the only profitable business left there....hence the colors. Maybe soon they can incorporate the only other thing keeping their city from the ruins, some ketchup, only a couple years away. They sure are hideous.

I like the purple. At first, I did think it weird that a football team would be purple, but I think they did a good job picking out shades that look good.

And contrary to many other Ravens fans, I like the colors black and yellow [or gold, whatever] together. I agree with you - don't like that Steely guy.

The Raven is cool, especially the full face one, the one that looks mean!

I'm not crazy about the all-black, either. I like the purple jerseys with the white pants.

One think I notice watching them in the all-black is that the saying is true, black is slimming. The guys don't look as imposing. Check out their leg muscles in the white pants. I wouldn't mess with those guys!

Ha, Pittsburgh is sitting pretty financially to be honest. But I wouldn't expect you to know that. You people let the stigma from the steel days over run your perception of Pittsburgh.

Unfortunately, the media doesn't help and it drives me crazy on like MNF and the Steelers are playing, they will have like 200 clips of a steel mill and molten steel pouring bring orange and sparks and soot.

I am fine with that tradition and it is mostly in Pittsburgh's past, but there is much more to our city than you think.


Funny thing is, I'm down here in Baltimore right now and have spent the past 2 weeks staying at the Hilton at the Inner Harbor, very nice area. But besides this area, I find that your city is lacking. But I admit I do love your infrastructure, highways are big and wide open.
