New York Mets sign Tim Tebow to a minor league deal. So he wouldn't go to Canada to play in CFL or even in AFL to help his football career but he'll take a minor league baseball deal.

This should have been a no brainer from pretty much every teams' perspective.  Regardless of what you may think of him as a baseball player, he's going to sell tickets.  I think it's a good move solely for the PR value for a minor league team.
