Ravens Projected Win-Loss Record 2016

341 posts in this topic

Game 7: 5-2. The Ravens had a few bright spots against the Jets, but came up short on the scoreboard.  The Ravens resemble last year's team, albeit less imaginative.  More painful than the four losses is the loss of Ravens' signature on both sides of the football.  Rebuilding years are indeed painful on players, coaches and fans.

I'm going to have to rescind my guess of 11-5. Another 5-11 year looks more likely, but I'll optimisticly predict 8-8 with wins against Pitt 2x, Cincy, Cleveland, and Miami.

Sadly, I think yet another Ravens record is going down: their undefeated streak against the Dallas Cowboys will come to end this year.

Does anyone know if this is the last record of its kind in the NFL? Are any other teams perfeect against an opponent?

Fun fact: Baltimore has never even lost a pre-season game against Dallas .

if we dont win the SB ill be fine with beating the squeelers and beating the bungles at least once.

I really want a Bengals win. We need one against them. It's getting out of hand.

Starting to look more and more like a 8-8 season but hopefully we can squeak out an extra 1 or two and sneak in the dance.

Straight forward power running and mid-to-long range passing attack against a set of weak Pittsburgh DBs could be the right ingredients for a Ravens’ upset victory.  Expect Ravens to make several roster changes to energize their stagnant offense.  The great thing about a Ravens-Steelers matchup is there will be hitting, fumbles, interceptions, hard-nosed running, piercing passing, TDs, field goals, all with intense focus and unreserved velocity of play, that players and fans enjoy most from fierce competition.  The Ravens will bring their "A-game” but two questions remain: Will the Ravens bring “The House” and will they “Play through the Last Second of Sixty Minutes” for the home crowd?  This game is winnable, especially in Baltimore!

Sunday's game is a Mid-Season Playoff game for the Steelers and the Ravens.  A foothold on first place in the AFC North welcomes the winners, while a deep dark chasm engulfs the defeated.  Will the Ravens step up or fall down?  Only Tucker-Time will tell.

Game 8: 5-3. The Ravens made Baltimore proud today - bending Steel on the gridiron!  A coffee break game is coming up on Thursday night, but do not take Cleveland lightly, they are competitive.

We're 4-4. Just saying.

To start the season I said 10-6, but losing to the Skins and Jets makes it 8-8, the other wins I had penciled in, Dallas, we've never lost to them but you know what they say streaks always end, Miami which I still think is a win, we stopped Bell we can stop Ajayi and besides him the Phins look bad, Eagles also I still think is a win, Wentz has been figured out and a rookie here at the Vault? Lol And Pitt again, this ones a bit shaky. But the upside is the Bengals certainly don't look like years past and we may get a win over them as well. All in all I still see 8-8 possible at 50/50 with 7-9 being the other 50% lol.

All in all I still see 8-8 possible at 50/50 with 7-9 being the other 50% lol.

Here's how I see our remaining schedule:

Vs. Browns--On paper we should dominate, but Browns always play us tough.  I have been concerned about this game since the beginning because of that and the fact that it is a short week after the physical battle with the Steelers.  However, I have to believe the Ravens gut out a close "ugly" win here  I give Ravens a 75% chance to win this one.

@ Cowboys--very tough game, but we match up well.  Their main strength is their running game and our strength is stopping the run.  I give the Ravens a 50% chance to win this one.

Vs. Bengals-Always a tough game-Cincy seems to have our number, but they are struggling this year.  I think this is a close game, but I give a slight edge to the Ravens being at home. I give the Ravens a 55% chance to win this one.

Vs. Dolphins--see comments about Cowboys game being a good matchup, with Dolphins not being as good all around.  Slight edge to the Ravens.  I give the Ravens a 60% chance to win this one.

@ Patriots--As much as I hate the Patriots, they clearly appear to be the best team in the NFL.  I would LOVE to see the upset, but I don't realistically see it.  I give the Ravens a 25% chance to win this one.

Vs. Eagles-Wentz has cooled off and Eagles are a far different team on road vs. at home.  We are very fortunate to draw them as a home game.  I think the Ravens pull this one out.  I give the Ravens a 65% chance to win this one.

@ Steelers--Tough battle and both teams are likely to be playing for their seasons.  I would LOVE a sweep of the Steelers, but I think the Steelers are going to find a way to will this win out at home.  I give the Ravens a 40% chance to win this one.

@ Bengals--Bengals have our number.  Hard to predict at this point because who know what each team is playing for at this point.  Are playoffs/division on the line for either or both of these teams.  Unfortunately, the Bengals have been our kryptonite,so I give them the edge in this one at home.  I give the Ravens a 40% chance to win this one.

So-as of now, we are 4-4.  I give us the edge in 4 of our games left, meaning 8-8.  Cowboys game is a 50/50 and I think some others are close.  I think 10-6 clearly wins the divsion and 9-7 gives us a shot.  It would be REALLY helpful if Ravens could win 3 of the 4 remaining division games, but that is never an easy task to go 5-1 in this division.

We all know this team plays all close games and has very little margin for error.  We have shown we are capable of winning (and losing) every game,so we are very hard to predict.  I can see this team going anywhere from 7-9 to 11-5, most likely 8-8 to 10-6, giving us fans plenty of heart attacks along the way as I expect to be right on the bubble of the playoffs and this division all the way to the very end.

No chance.

Did you see us losing 4 on the trot ? We had a favourable schedule and pretty much blew our chances.

We almost lost vs the browns

the only way we win this division is if the steelers and bengals collapse even more. We are not winning more than 3 games from here on end.

hmm. Well we may not even play the rest of these games then. Lets call it in and let them know we're done.

thats not allowed sadly.

Until this team shows it can win with conviction its not going to happen for us. conviction and flacco are not a match made in heaven either.

Anyway, I think it's pretty crazy that 9-7 could actually win the division.

not with the current start of the teams. it goes without saying..the best chance is if the bengals beat the steelers in their next encounter and we beat the bengals twice and the steelers at home. if that happens then we could win the division at 8-8.

Starting to look that way. Suddenly the rest of our schedule doesnt look so tough. The eagles are slipping, we've had the Steelers number recently, we matchup well against Dallas, new England is the only team that fears us, and Miami is well....miami. The only wildcard is Cincinnati. Can we finally get them off our back? If we can atleast split I don't think even 10-6 is out of the question. Our offense has to start clicking though. A healthy doom would certainly help too. After Thursday he'll have another 10 days to recover. Would be nice to get him back for Dallas.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised at this point if 8-8 wins the division... It is starting to look that way the way both the Ravens, Steelers, and Bengals are all dropping games.

Jeez, someone needs a zanax. Which 5 games do you see us losing?

In any case as to the division Pitt is also 4-4 with remaining games Cowboys, Colts, Giants and Bills, with also us, the Bengals and the Browns twice. The Colts look horrible but it's in Indy, the Giants will be looking at winning their division and frankly the Steelers won't be able to stop OBJ, the Bills have looked really good and it's in Buffalo and they will prob be fighting for a wild card(speaking of the Bills, anyone catch that Monday night game yesterday? Good lord I'm awaiting on the firing of that entire officiating crew, honestly have never seen such a botched job, even some of our games lol) I doubt Ben gets to 100% the rest of the season so easily can see them also going 9-7.

The Bengals have a even worse road. That tie crushed them, although it should've been a loss. But they also have the Giants, Buffalo, Eagles, Browns, Steelers, Houston and us. I think the Giants, Bills and Steelers all have a better than average chance to beat them. Their only easily winnable game should be Houston. Keep in mind their D is hammered by injuries and their front 7 lost players and looks really weak. They "could" turn it around and wind up winning 10 games but I'm betting they don't. I have a feeling their folding and continue to skid to a losing record. Key note I think Marvins time might be up. Kinda wondering if maybe Josh McDaniels gets the gig there. He's getting a HC gig somewhere next year.

the bengals have hardly any injuries :/

They had a lot of talent leave the door though before this season and it is starting to show.

I predicated they go 8-8 and Lewis would be gone.

Predicting it now...

Week 17 Ravens (8-7) @ Bengals (8-6-1) will be made Prime Time. The winner takes the division, and a tie would give the Steelers the division. Ravens win and go 9-7, giving them the division and #3 seed in the AFC, where they will play the Chiefs in the Wild Card Round.

I actually predicted 7-9... I feel like we actually have the talent now to compete with them. Weddle will be huge in limited AJ Green and Jimmy Smith is now healthy. Their secondary lost a lot of talent. They lost a lot of offensive talent when Sanu and Jones left and Eifert is coming back from an injury. I think this is the year the Ravens can sweep the Bengals if it were to ever happen nows the time.
