Whew!  The Ravens almost proved me wrong on this one.  Jags up next and the way our offense has started 2 weeks in a row got me feeling...

2-0 Week Two: DBs made smart adjustments and attacked the football.   Raven rushers tagged the Brown's QB and secured Raven momentum.  Wallace's slant near the goal line demonstrated clearly his keen ability to shield the path of the football while making the money catch in the end zone.  Wallace is the total package; Joe will find him frequently for deep positive results.  The Ravens coming methodically from behind while on the road is a bigger win than leading from the start.  Ravens are showing they can fully adjust and execute on both sides of the ball with control.

Predicting the score of the Ravens' game on any given Sunday is difficult at best, however, some of the premier experts predict the Ravens will win a close game by one point?  The Ravens are not fooling around in Jacksonville. A mere one point victory is not going to happen. The Ravens have been protecting the football while running; therefore the turnovers on the ground will be less than two and in the air less than three.  Expect the Ravens' defense to tip the pass-happy Jacksonville passes for picks, setting up the offense with good field position.  This game is going to be a work horse game for the Ravens' interior linemen. The Ravens will stay tightly within their gridiron goals.  The Ravens will win, but there is no telling by what score.  The measurements the coaching staff will be taking on every play are focused on execution and positional technique.  Points are just one the outcomes of these focus areas.  Controlling the momentum on both sides of the football is another.  Points are easy, imposing your will on the field is hard, but it is the core of all Tier-1 level teams.  The Ravens are earning their core signature one down at a time.

3-0 Week Three: Ravens are still in the fine-tuning stage of a long NFL season.  Turbo-charged Tucker nailed a 55 yarder late in the game - he deserves the game ball.  Koch needs to punt the football out of bounds (repeat "out of bounds!").

Watching the NFL film on Koch and all his punts (something everybody should consider watching) you realize that he punts the ball inbounds because of the chance of a turnover. The 20 different punts he has causes the returners to overthink and make mistakes. Yes they often gain a few yards on a return but doing it every time gives the team bonus yards on some punts and occasionally a turnover.

That's a bold move cotton. Let's see if it pays off

So I'll take a stab at it

Buffalo-W. Their offense isn't that good, Tyrod isn't that good of a QB. They have a pretty meh oline. McCoy won't be able to run around. Sammy Watkins is an issue, but with a new improved defense I think we pull out a win. Even if Flacco is pressured to hell.

Cleveland-W. They're the Browns

Jacksonville-W. We're in for a slugfest here. Even on the road, we match up decently. They may have a great defense, but potentially so do we. Their WR group is deemed a problem, but we have a ton of speed that'll be hard to combat. But at the end of the day, I think we come out with W.

Oakland-L. Trap Game. Derek Carr is a great QB and now he's got a good oline, along with a very good WR and RB corps, and an unstoppable monster on defense named Mack. This is the first week we truly start overreacting and going "DAMN YOU RONNIE STANLEY" for getting beat by a monster that most cannot contain.

Redskins-W. We're at home, after a loss.. They're going to die.

4/4 so far. Hopefully I'm still right next week :D

4-0 Week four: Ravens bounce back next week with a few tweaks: let's keep one-two backs in the backfield to block for Joe. If Joe is still forced out of the pocket with two backs blocking, then fire the OC and the OL coach.  To be Tier-1 competitive in this pass-happy league, the quarterback needs that extra second for the receiver to make his break.  The Ravens have the talented players, but now they need the play formations for sustain offensive play.  Sit Koch down and explain to him the advantages of punting the football out of bounds, he doesn't seem to understand.  Make smart decisions: going for two-points with that much time left in the second half was ill-advised.  Tier-1 teams make corrections each game, thus the Ravens will too.

Just curious, how many games have you been to/do you plan on going to?

You and a few other posters here are super active with going and I'm slightly jelly.

And on the bright side, it's better to be wrong on your predictions in a good way.

Over the years I've been to quite a few.  I normally drive up from VA for 3 home games a year.

This year I'm only attending to 2 home games.  Ravens vs Raiders and Ravens vs Steelers.

I always sit in either sections 126 or 127 behind the Ravens bench and within rows 1-7.

My wife and I were in Section 126 and in row 7 yesterday and we'll be in the same section but in row 5 vs Steelers in a few weeks. Lol!

I was definitely glad that I was wrong on the Bills prediction which I said we'd lose but we won.  Then yesterday, I said that we'd win and we lost.

Especially after the game yesterday, we can start to figure this team out. Do we have a shot at winning the Super Bowl right now? No. Is it possible and do we have the potential to change? Yes. People need to understand, we aren't going to blow teams out. I see us finishing 10-6 with a wild card. We are lucky we have times to figure things out with this light first half schedule. But right now, if we fought a heavy weight, 9/10 times we would lose. We won't "Steeler" teams out, but we can win dog fights. If the run game continues to roll and Marc finds a brain, this offense can be good for 23-25 points a game. I am confident in our defense. We need to get on another roll and win the next 3 weeks, we have until after our break until Pitt. until then, we are simply a 2009 Ravens type dangerous but fairly weak wild card team.

I will also be at the Ravens-Steelers game. Seats that close are a little expensive for me (not too far removed from college), so I'll actually be in section 526. I can't remember what row, but we should be around the 40-50, so that'll be super nice. Being up that close must be pretty killer. I'd be thrilled to have those seats.

I don't do game predictions (this season, at least), but I'm not entirely surprised the Ravens lost. I know people like to point out that the Raiders had a bad defense based off of two games, but it wasn't long before Mack and Irvin got going and Sean Smith and David Amerson are a hell of a duo.

I do think they get back on track against the Redskins. I think I saw Kerrigan left the game early against the Browns and Stanley and Lewis are on track to start, so that really helps.

Being close and being in the upper deck both have their advantages. Pronably stating the obvious here, but upstairs you are able to see the plays develop much better.

Don't know if you have ever sat there, but the closest you can get to the action are low in the end zone sections. When the play is at your end there's nothing like it. You can hear the players and really hear pads pop. When play is at the other end you watch the Jumbotron, lol. That's the trade off and the reason the tickets are cheaper than low between the 35s.

Man I hope they do get on track this week. Really need to get back to being the dominant team at home that we've been during the Harbaugh era. And living in middle of Redskins territory puts a little more at stake for me. Don't want to hear crap for the next 4 years.  lol

That's 10-6. Maybe we steal one against Dallas or New York who knows but both seem like tough games for us.

They are awesome!  I sit there cause I drive up 4 hrs to these games and I want to get the experience of seeing my favorite team and players on the team up close and personal.  As far as the Redskins game?  Man after 4 weeks of witnessing the same ole sluggish start from the offense, I expect more of the same against the Redskins BB22.

I've done it all!  I've stood on the field during pregame warmups, sat in the upper decks, near the endzone, in the suites and near the 50 yard line.  While the food is better in the suites, the people up there are way too quiet for my taste.  One time my wife and I was up there and I was the only one screaming out the names of our defense as they were being introduced.  When Ed Reed came out, you only heard me screaming; "Reeeeeeeeeeeed!" :D The guy managing the suite told me; "Now that's a Ravens fan!  We need more of you like that up here!"  Boring up there so, I prefer to sit right behind our boys near the 50 to interact with my fellow Ravens fans.  What a rush!

As far as the Redskins game?  This Ravens offense has proven...at least to me...for 4 games now that it doesn't really matter who they play; Bills, Browns, Jaguars, Raiders or the upcoming Redskins; they'll come out flat, sluggish and inept.  It's been their MO (mode of operation) so far and it seems hard for them to shake!  Unfortunately, because of their pattern, I expect more of the same this Sunday.

I haven't watched too many blips of Redskins games because they often play at the same time as the Ravens, but I think they've been having offensive struggles, too, as far as starting fast.

With how the defense is playing, they could probably stifle the Redskins offense for a slow start. The Ravens just better take advantage of no Kerrigan if he doesn't play.

If Jimmy Smith takes out Jackson out of the game and if Weddle holds down Reed then I think the defense will be in good shape.

Ravens win easy against the Redskins; call it a crowd pleaser.  The O-line will be in focus and expect some help in the backfield blocking for Joe.  Ravens return to winning form.  Joe will be sharp no matter the weather.

Good point BB22.  I really hope that happens.  But, after seeing this offense operate the same way for 4 games straight now regardless of their opponents; I have no confidence in this unit.

Ravens win on Sunday, no problem.  A complete game on both sides of the ball is projected.  Take a breath, good things will happen on Sunday in Baltimore.
