Ravens Projected Win-Loss Record 2016

Yea well predicting a SB pre-season last year, and predicting a 12-4 record this year actually makes sense, considering this year we have a roster much closer to what we thought we had going into last year, but that was decimated by injuries.

You're 0-1 on your predictions while most of us are 1-0. Your read on the Bills was WAY off. Your description of our game against the Bills was more than just a wrong win/loss prediction; it wasnt EVEN CLOSE to reality.

I'll go with my gut and many of the posters here whose projections pretty accurately came true with what we saw in the week 1 performance, over the guy who hasnt so much as been right about a single detail yet. You were only close on your prediction last year bc of injuries. If we were healthy you wouldve been dead wrong then too.

And this year will prove that. This will be fun to check back to each week.

And when we have a higher win total than you predicted for the season by week 9 its going to be hilarious.

When we're 6-1 you'll still be holding on, spouting BS, and predicting an 0-9 run. But, when we get to the 7 win mark, you'll mysteriously disappear until next offseason....

Agree with everything here, but 6-1....i dont know.  lol

Plus, how on Earth will we lose 9 straight games in the final minute this year? That was an NFL record at the time, I see us winning half, or maybe even more than half of our close games this year.

Bills +1
@ Browns +1 It'll be close; the secondary gets exposed, and the run-game struggles, but they win in a shoot-out
@ Jaguars +.5 High-powered passing game could give the Ravens' secondary problems. I see this as a 50/50 shootout, last one with the ball wins
Raiders +1 Same as above, but vs. a lesser defense, and it's at Baltimore. Ravens should win this.
Redskins +1 I really don't think the Redskins have anything more than an average offense, and their defense is kind of bad despite their CBs. Ravens should win this
@ Giants +.5 Giants improved themselves on defense, but they still look average at best. Their passing game could give us problems if our pass-rush fizzles. Comes down to the last possession
@ Jets +.5 If the Ravens' OL handles the Jets' DL, then the Ravens win. Both teams have shaky secondaries and good passing games.
Steelers +.5 I expect to split with them on the year
Browns +1
@ Cowboys +.5 Their defense is awful vs the pass and run, but their offense looks intimidating on paper. Seems like this could be a shootout.
Bengals +.5 I expect to split with the Bengals on the season despite recent history.
Dolphins +1 Flacco owns the Dolphins (he's undefeated in 5 games iirc).
@ Patriots +0 Seems like the Ravens should lose this game, but that's not to say I give us zero chance to win--Ravens are one of the few teams that actually does okay in Foxborough.
Eagles +1 Ravens usually do well against rookie QBs. Eagles have a decent DL and LB corps, but their secondary is bad, and so is their offense.
@ Steelers +.5 I expect to split on the year
@  Bengals-  +.5 I expect to split on the year

Total: 11 wins, though 10 or 9 seems more realistic, since a lot of those 50/50 games come on the road.

And really all of this comes down to attrition anyway. Some of those end of the schedule teams could be decimated by the time we play them. Or we could be decimated lol. A fun game nonetheless.

A 12 and 4 record? Wow these are some of the same people who predicted we would go to the Super Bowl last year. Here in realityville the Ravens are a mediocre team at best. My prediction is much closer to what it looks like in the real world. Let's get with it people - don't let the super easy early schedule fool you we are on the outside looking in. 6-10 this year is the best we got. Lets enjoy a Browns victory because it goes downhill from here.

I thoroughly enjoyed your insight on the Bills/Ravens game prior to kickoff. If I could describe it in one word, inaccurate. We get it, this is what you do around here. Why 6-10? Why not 3-13? Go big or go home, Wiz. You're losing your luster.

It wasn't totally inaccurate but no matter at this point in the season. It is what it is. If you take away the touchdown pass to Wallace and the long completion to Perriiman we had about 180 yards of offense. It was more a matter of which team was worse not which team was better last Sunday. We can get away with lackluster play against Cleveland even on their turf but after that we have a pretty tough schedule. Even Yanda played badly. I'm already wondering who will make the top 100 of 2016?

Who cares about the top 100 it is the biggest names get on the list. Second taking 2 plays away on offense of any team takes a big chunk of yardage away. Big plays make the games if you take them all away then of couse there isn't that many yards. Doesn't mean we wouldn't of made up those yards a different way.

seriously? saying we wouldve had average numbers on offense if we took away our 2 biggest plays of the game?

man, if only that was legit argument that could ever hold any water. games can be won and lost on a flukey tip drill pick-6, or a ball popping out on a routine tackle, i mean literally the ball bouncing on its nose instead of its side can decide a game, that kind of stuff decides games almost every week, and youre trying to make the argument that were no good because you want to eliminate 90 something yards of offense for no apparent reason?

reach.

You guys are tenacious-I luv that Raven spirit. You all are the epitome of what playing like a Raven is all about. Now if we could only get that on the field we would go 16 -0.

Yup.

Not sure how that Oakland defense will look this week, but I'm not too worried about what I see right now.

In his world, which is not the real world, the Patriots just let Josh McDaniels leave during the season to go be the HC of a division rival.

Certainly not happening in the world I live in...

In fairness, that wasn't what he said. He said Rex would be gone before the final game of the season, and McDaniels should be interested. Hey, it's possible... might not happen but it's not an absurd statement.

Also, I dont think there is anything wrong with being critical of the team. I think we'll be better than 6-10 though. But it'll take a lot to get 12 wins. But I'll rooting along the way! We'll know more about this team shortly. Still too early.

Actually he said that Rex would be fired during the season (which I challenged, based on a lack of internal candidates that is now even less) AND he said McDaniels would be interested in taking over that job during the season.

Hence, why I challenged him to show precedent of an NFL team allowing one of their coordinators to leave for a competitors HC job during an actual season, especially when that competitor is a division rival.

Its not like he's making some sort of revolutionary statement that Rex will be fired now or in the future... has been the expectation since before the season even started.

But this notion that teams just go hire other teams coordinators mid season for a HC position isn't realistic in this world.

While I agree with ya, I didn't think a team could stop someone from getting a promotion. Always see teams stick it out for the season unless they have an internal candidate but not exactly sure why

The Ravens have averaged 10-11 wins in the Joe & Harbaugh era, until last year. I predict 15 Wins this season. Their avg. 10, + 5 to make up for last year.

If you took away the AJ Green plays we beat the Bengals 5x in a row

Precisely.

The universe must balance. If someone's going to flaunt overwhelming and unfounded negativity as legitimate assessment and prediction - I have to go that far in the other direction.

Well, actually, they can. They just typically don't, because it will hurt them in the long run.

You won't see a team allow one of their coordinators go to a divisional rival mid-season. After the season, sure they will.

Man you should re-read my post of the Rex Ryan subject I DID NOT say the Josh McDaniels will take over the Bills HC job mid-season. Try reading left to right instead of right to left it may help you in the long run.

That's a bold move cotton. Let's see if it pays off

So I'll take a stab at it

Buffalo-W. Their offense isn't that good, Tyrod isn't that good of a QB. They have a pretty meh oline. McCoy won't be able to run around. Sammy Watkins is an issue, but with a new improved defense I think we pull out a win. Even if Flacco is pressured to hell.

Cleveland-W. They're the Browns

2

2/2 right. Let's see if I can keep it up.
