Justin Tuckers kick challenge

28 posts in this topic

Recently Justin Tucker claimed "under the right conditions " he could kick a 84 yard field goal in Denver.

Well Brandon McManus, Denvers kicker is calling him out.

I think he can do it.

I think Justin should take the challenge .

Justin totally nailed one from 80 during warmups in Denver last year. McManus obviously wasn't paying attention to the competition.

Too bad our special teams coordinator Rosburg said, " we have no plans for such"

Sidenote* Tucker nailed a 61 yarder in Detroit to win us that game, which is 600 feet above sea-level compared to a minimum of 5,130 feet in Denver

Tucker said he tried an 85 yarder in Denver, but it hit the crossbar, however, it would've been good from 84.5 yards out. I'm pretty sure Tucker has only gotten stronger since then. I think he could do it!

He should do it.

There is a free kick scenario at the end of half's and games so this could prove useful

I would like to see Tucker do it and take his wife and son on a trip at the expense of other NFL players.

If I was Tucker I would make sure his wife and son were included in the deal then I would have the media there to record / watch the other players eat their words

Perhaps Colquitt should focus on his own position considering that he's the second best punter named Colquitt in his own division.

Was hoping he'd challenge Koch to a punt off

So Denvers kicker and punter are upset over this? I swear with the legalization of a certain product in Denver those guys shouldn't be as uptight as they are...

And such a stupid thing to be upset about.

Not sure why they're whining so much. Maybe because they feel they can't even come close to that distance IN Denver? Regardless, dude just believes in himself. Doesn't sound too crazy to me. I believe he could. Hope he does.

I saw him drill a kick from the opposing team's like 38 yard line his second season with us in Denver. What is that then like a 70 yard field goal? It was probably like 7 or 8 feet above the goal post at the time. I wouldn't doubt it, but with people coming at him and having Harbaugh as his coach I do not think he ever beats the 63 yard record or whatever it is unless it was only by a yard or two

I don't get why they're so mad.  He said something about Tucker not showing respect by dancing, but he's coming off super salty, for no real reason.

The only time I remember him not showing respect was in one game against the jets a few years back in ugly game conditions where he made a great kick and did that money sign.

He hit a 78 yard field goal in warm ups in Denver his sophomore season as well. With plenty of of leg left in the kick. I have no doubt he can kick it.

Problem is in a game situation the angle of the kick would most likely be an easy block for the opposing team so a lot of luck would have to be there.

Tuck hit a 75 yarder during warm ups in Philly during preseason that drilled my fiance'. In the right conditions he could hit 84.

Not saying he definitely would, but if he can hit 75 with room to spare, there are certainly conditions under which Tucker's physical limit of kicking could exceed 84 yards. Would it be blocking in a game? Of course, not sure why these Broncholes are even pointing that out. The one even admits he's seen Tuck hit from 75 but "itd be blocked". Ok, can you hit one from 75, period? No. And thats why youre all salty.

The comment that i found most hilarious was the bashing his celebrations and how he "runs away from his long snapper and holder." Those 3 are the like the best of friends. Trying to say that Tuck doesnt appreciate his guys is the most absurd thing ive heard this month. Cox was Colquitt's LS in college, so hes just sad that hes now better friends with Tucker.

I second the WWE style tag match. Koch would annihilate everyone. Tuck would be the charismatic, top rope flier with all the flash... but Koch would be the substance. His finisher would be the "Dinner's Served" (cuz his names pronounced Cook and all), and would start with a kick to the mid-section to bend the opponent over a la Stone Cold Stunner, then Koch grabs the back of the guys head and proceeds to just punt his face as hard as possible, with the force of the kick and follow through carrying him in the air, finished with a mid air 180 twist so he ends up landing looking away from his now unconscious opponent.

Tucks would be the "Right Hash Smash" and would start with a downed opponent, face down on the mat. Koch enters the ring, kneels down by his shoulder and lifts the guys face up by the back of his hair. Tucker bounces off one set of ropes so he comes off now running at the revealed face, and proceeds to FG style kick dude in the mouth. Koch pins for the win, while Tuck does some ridiculous dance.

Tag Team Champs.... give em the belts.
