[News] Kamar Aiken Has His Eyes On Being A Starter Again

10 posts in this topic

Last year, injuries forced Kamar Aiken into the lead wide receiver role. This offseason, the steady, tough receiver has given no reason why he shouldn’t be one of the top wideouts again.

It is nice to know we have a guy with reliable hands as a safety net in case Smith isn't quite ready to go and if Wallace turns out to be a flop here. I don't think teams are seriously game planning against Aiken because it isn't like he does anything special. He just catches the ball. He's not a jump ball guy, he's not going to burn by you with blazing speed.

Aiken is Easily One of the best options we have at receiver! He IMO is the second best behind SSR. He should be the starter along side him and I feel like he Proved it last year, yes he was pretty much the only healthy option but I mean just look at what he did. I feel like he finally put the NFL on notice of what he can do, I see a Pro Bowl invite in his future. As well as a possible 1,000 yard season and about 10 TDs. Go Baltimore!! Also I am so excited to see Flacco Go Dumb this season! (that's Lingo for Tear It Up!) I Hope he goes off this year like he did that game against the Bucs a few years ago where he Shredded them for like 5 Tds and No Int's! I Love Me Some Flacco!

He's become one of my favorite guys on the team. He has reliable hands, he's strong, he gets open, and he's always there when you need him.

I expect Harbuagh to reward the 2 key veterans Smith Sr. and Wallace as the starters if they are healthy. With that being said, I think Kamar as #3 will get at least 6 throws a game or more to start with and if he plays well he has the potential to capitalize on even more opportunities. He is weapon we cannot afford to keep on the sideline. His fresh legs and toughness will be a huge asset towards the middle and end of the season. I see Perriman no better than 4th down on the list and thats if he is healthy to play right off the bat. Campinaro still has a shot to make this team, he looks good so far. Waller took reps with the wide recievers and the Tight Ends (if Pitta stays strong no way Waller makes the team as a TE), He is playing well in practice. With Bultler, Mathews, Moore, Clay and Renolds all looking at a battle for the last 2 or 3 WR spots.
