I respectfully disagree. Flacco's weapons were very good in 2012 but not great. He's also never had a legitimate number 1 WR. His entire career and stats and perception would be completely different if he would been working with someone like A. Brown or AJ Green or even Josh Gordon throughout his career. Torrey made big plays for us but the number of times he would slip on a "route" or not fight for a contested catch backfired on us just as much as his big plays helped us. Less collective experience? SSS, Watson, Pitta, Mike Wallace, Forsett, that's about as much experience as a team could have from the skills players. If Stanley plays well and our health holds up- i know i know, I think Joe has his most efficient year by far. Probably best stats too. Stats aren't everything though. I'll take a W with Joe having the worst stats ever. As long he gets the W. I do agree about deserving better fortune

Agree with this, firm believer if Flacco was the Bengals QB the last 5 seasons they have a Super Bowl, not a doubt in my mind they have a few playoff wins. Flacco doesn't lose to scrubs like TJ Yates in the playoffs

I understand we haven't heard much, but we have only had a week of practices really. We haven't even played our first preseason game yet. He may not be ready to start this season, but don't write him off after one week. He could still be a starting DE.

Wow ... I just had responded to this, with my concerns around the D line. I get an update on my phone and initially all I see is "DE Brendone Kaufusi ..." and I'm thinking the follow up is going to be "returns to training camp", but instead, we all know what it said.

The concern around the D line deepens ...

We’ll have a good offense but I really want our defense to play like the Ravens of old. I think I’m hopeful but we’ll see.

I agree and I think we are headed in that direction. This year we've got a lot more speed and discipline. Combine that with the strength and relentless guys like doom and Bwill and we potentially have something special brewing.

Anybody know the deal with Bronson Kaufusi? I thought he was going to be a starting type DE no?

awful answer and timing. that DE spot becomes a mystery now. Carl Davis.....where you at?? more like time to use more 4-3 than 3-4. Stack Carl and BWILL in the middle I say....jeez. I'm pretty sure it won't happen. But wish we would trade more MO Wilkerson

Proven NFL Playmakers = Flacco, Smith Sr., Forsett, Aiken, Watson, Pitta, Juszczyk, Wallace, Yanda, Tucker, Koch, Suggs, Dumervil, Weddle, Webb, Smith, WIlliams, Mosely, Jernigan, Guy, Powers, Z Smith.
So if we find playmakers in 10 out of the remaining that would give us 30 legit playmakers that I count. With the likes of Stanley, Orr, Campinaro, Brooks, Allen, Elam, Correa, Waller, Butler, Price and Renolds... it sure looks promising.

Sorry for the late response, but literally right after I posted what I did, I got an update a little bit later saying he broke his ankle. Tough break.

11 and 12 were both better offenses with better OL.  SSS is coming back from a major injury and is old as hell.  Pittas hips at this point are as reliable as Derrick Rose's knees.  Forsett is no Rice.  If Smith, Perriman and Pitta didn't have injury concerns I might agree, but that's not the case.  Let's also not forget the qb is coming back from an ACL injury.  Too many unknowns.  And Jacoby Jones is often lost in the shuffle of weapons for 2012 for some reason.
