[News] News And Notes 8/3: Mike Wallace And Joe Flacco Shine

18 posts in this topic

Glad Wallace and Joe are on the same page, because with Perriman never ever ever going to play in the nfl, we need a sure deep threat for Flacco to go to when needed. Their chemistry is undeniable. IDK how yall feel but im comfortable with Aiken and Wallace being the top 2 WR's come regular season.

"because with Perriman never ever ever going to play in the nfl"

And you know this because you are a doctor?.... on the coaching staff? .... smarter than everyone else?

I go off of what I see, not hope, and all I've seen from him is an injury prone player who has yet to last 2 days in training camp, and who doesn't seem to eager to get back on the field. Like I said before, people are penciling him as a starter and all this guy has under his belt is some ota/mini camp practice and one day of training camp. Until I see otherwise he might as well not even be on the team because he's shown me nothing to be hopeful for or excited about.

He's not an injury prone player...  That's Campanaro.  He's had one bad injury.  I'm just glad they took their time and let him heal correctly and didn't rush him back..  Folks act like he's the only one this has ever happened to.  *sigh*. Give the guy a break man.

Perriman will not only play this season but he will be a difference maker with his speed and Joe's ability to toss those deep balls with ease. Teams cannot cover everyone and between Aiken, SSSr., Wallace, and Perriman. Out of the group Perriman figures to get the least attention, at least initially. Either way the passing game will open things up with this years WR group.

Base your opinions of players on their play. Getting injured has nothing to do with the how good a player really is.

Perriman's back...

That was a 'bold' prediction' not a true statement

You haven't seen anything of him yet. He has been injured and not able to show his worth to this team. He deserves the chance to get on the field and then maybe you can be "excited". Geez, give the kid a break.

I think it's fair to be excited at the possibility even if it's not definite... Are we not allowed to imagine?

I get the frustration. You aren't alone. What I don't get is the questioning his will to play. Personally, everything I see and hear from this guy is the fact that he's not out there is tearing him up inside. I really get a sense that feels terrible that he's letting down his teammates and the organization that drafted him highly.

I'm dying for him to get out there and prove he can be an impact player - not just for the obvious reason that I'm a fan of this team and he could help us greatly - but for him.

I want us to get off to an auspicious start this year by beating the Bills at home. It all starts there. We can't afford to falter because Rex is a great coach with Bills being a very good team. No let downs and let's get rolling! Cannot wait for the regular season to see how our new team compares with the other NFL teams.

He's been seen working out individually and is slated to be on the field by mid-August.

"Always" and "Never" are words one should not use.  What happens if he plays in one game?

Mike Wallace gives us durability and production. He has only missed one game in his career.

Absolutely. That first game sets the tone for the entire season and is extremely important. If we go out there and punch the bills in the mouth that will go a long way for this teams confidence. I know its impossible to know but I firmly believe that had sss or Crock pulled in one of those balls on that last drive week 1 against Denver we would have eventually went on to the playoffs. We just dug ourselves a hole that was impossible to get out of, and the injuries were the deathblow. This year we need to keep up the tempo, start off strong and play with discipline. Thankfully our schedule is much more pleasant than last years.

Kind of agree. SSS let us down in that game, then in Oakland and somewhat in San Fran, he caught 2 TDs but also dropped 2.

last season was so brutal, insanely brutal

First few games set us up for the rest of the season. I fully agree with you.
