Some really dumb ones.  Brandon Williams and Tucker (even with some struggles) are far too low.

I'll never understand how someone like Perriman goes down in rating without playing a down.  Shouldn't he be the same as last year or at least close?  "Ahhh, he got hurt and put up no stats.  70 it is."  There better be good potential growth there.

Ratings don't matter this year as much as they used to. Since EA has brought back Player Editing within Franchise, this is not that big of a deal. Plus... you can always edit the ratings before going into Franchise so... who cares?

You don't care about the ratings... but you found this thread, read it and took the time to comment. What else are we supposed to talk about on a madden thread? o_O

Actually some people might be in competitive online simulation leagues where editing the ratings isn't allowed. I'm grateful for this roster considering what a nightmare it was last year to have to play with 83 speed 83 route running Smitty, because we started well before they raised him up to respectable levels. Nothing can be worse than last years starting roster.

Perriman only went down in speed and acceleration if i recall correctly. That's because he didn't play a down in the league yet and has injured his knee twice. If it was an arm injury twice, they probably wouldn't have lowered his speed and acceleration. I think we were lucky he was that high anyway considering some of the scouting reports claimed he plays a lot slower than his 40 speed, on the field in pads. Nevertheless i will be using him as a major decoy to clear things out for everyone else.

Real question is have they fixed offline franchise mode ......... the  glitches the stupid invisible recievers oh and how about wind appearing in the domed stadiums.............I will still never forget the rain at cowboy stadium in my one game .... seeing rain through a dome ...

Upshaw.....had 90 hit power....he's gone!

Hill....had 90 hit power....he's one!

Elam had 90 hit power....it dropped to a 85!

These cats were my "fumble-makers" man!  Goodness!  Smh!  Lol!

But what's his tackle rating lol...

 

I usually just go for the strip. Brandon Williams and CJ usually do the hard hitting/force fumbles for me. I'm in like year 2030 in my connected franchise so I have a very vague memory of past (current) Ravens players :D

I'll never understand strength or speed in madden.  Does it go by position or just is it one category for all?  Flacco stronger than most the TEs doesn't make sense.  Dame with speed, but whatever.  I'm going to buy it causes there's no competition, but Madden as a whole is a trash game.

I'm excited to use that "play the moment" mode for franchises. It fits me perfectly, not having to play the entire game, but not stuck simulating the season either

After the the first game of the season, he wanted to renegotiate his contract. I wonder if madden will have players hold out? 

 

I have have enjoyed playing just a couple of this seasons games. I haven't touched Madden since 2012 and this experience has been very pleasing!

Nice. Haven't played it yet. Will probably buy it on Friday via the XBOX store. Heard nothing but good things about it.

So I did what I do every year, loading up the ravens roster with superstars from across the league and go into franchise with that roster.

I put the difficulty on All Madden and went into week one against Buffalo.

My D-Line consisting of Watt, Donald. And Wilkerson got roadgraded by Buffalos O line.

The sliders def. need adjusting

I still have Webb as CB, Canady as SS?? Matt Judon with a higher over all than Z'darius Smith?

Zach Orr's rating will start going up.

No Jeremy Butler, Sheldon Price, Peanut ... Couple other free agents also missing from the preseason roster.

 

had a good few games lastnight, offence seems a bit more difficult - so far so good

My games been working pretty well... except for knowing when it's run or pass.  I like the new additions.  Start Canady at cb 2 and Young at nickel.  Judon gonna put in work for me.  And Webb is at SS for me.  Game updated right when it finished installing.

A little off topic but when I play franchize I never let new rookies adopt certain numbers, 52, 20, 75 are all off limits.

All-Madden cheats so hard. It's not even funny. 

When I used to play (the last one was probably 2013), they had the my skill and my skill was 20 across the board, which was the highest. All-Madden is 15 across the board. Somehow, All-Madden was far more difficult for me.

When I played All-Madden, I literally never passed because they'd always get a sack or interception. I could only run draw plays, unless I wanted to get dropped for two yard losses.

On defense, I literally played press man and did an overload blitz on every single play. If I tried playing without a blitz, they'd just be open with no one in sight for 10 yards.

EA added a patch today that now adds the Color Rush Uniforms that teams will be using on TNF to Madden 17. Just did a play now game against the Browns and used our color rush jerseys we'll be using later this season and I have to say I like them a lot and can not wait to see them on the field. In addition to the Color Rush jerseys, CFM was updated where so Thursday Night Games will default the jerseys to Color Rush and now the user can edit the CPU jerseys before every game.

I enjoy playing Madden video games, but I was a bit disappointed in this last version as I felt it wasn't a huge improvement from the previous year.

I feel that more updates should've occurred at this point as well to the roster.

I don't play much, evidenced by the fact that I just made it to season 2 of my franchise last night, but I think I found a gem in the 7th round.  He's only a 66 overall, but I found a 6'4, 289 lb. DE that has racked up 5 sacks, 13 TFL, and 3 FF in just 2 games.  He comes with the superstar development trait or whatever it's called.

I understand your point, but I do believe the Cowboys Stadium also has a retractable opening. Still ridiculous though!

Love them too! I use them exclusively in my settings. I love those unis!

Saw this on Operation Sports... Apparently people are saying Madden 17 plays better without any patches or tuners. Basically Out of the Box, and essentially this only works if you have a disc version. Delete Madden from your system, reinstall it and make sure you DO NOT let it install the latest patch. Here's the link to the thread on OS Forums...
