I agree there Sami. His may be a name we hear a lot more about!!

Of course "popping" goes both ways. Yanda may get a little tired of seeing his side of the ball being beat up and plant Mr O a few rows up into the seats one of these days. Sort of a "welcome to the NFL" greeting, if ya get my drift.

Any Undrafted Rookie is looking to earn a paycheck, just like any other dude in that situation would be doing.
Physicality is a necessity in the NFL. Let's hope his message has been sent and he can show his teammates and coaches what he's about ....against the 4 Pre-Season Opponents.
Wish this young man luck .

you don't make the team for being a nice guy.

You also don't make the team simply by starting fights and playing reckless. You notice what you don't read about him? The good plays he's made. So far I am only hearing that he's smacking guys around and starting fights. That opens eyes alright, the wrong way. Maybe he makes it as part of special teams playing that way, but he's going to have to bring a little something else to the table.

I'm glad Ozzie is starting to take some risks and draft some tough guys- we need tougher guys as this team got kind of soft over the past couple of years- no teams fear our defense. The thing I don't understand is why would Oz pass on Laremy Tunsil for smoking weed, but take a big chance with Patrick Onwausor- he not only smoked weed too but also was charged with felony possession of a GUN. I know the risk/ return ratio isn't as much considering Patrick was an undrafted FA, but in this case, I would've taken Tunsil hands down over Ronnie Staley who was considered more of a softie coming out of college. Regardless, I hope Patrick doesn't have a lapse with the Ravens- we need hus atttude and nastiiess on our defense.

1) There is quite a big difference between being an UDFA and the top pick in your draft.

2) Tunsil was in the room with Nkemdiche when he fell out of a 4th story window and there were drugs present in the room.

3) Tunsil also has a domestic violence issue in his past. He argues he was protecting his mother from his step-dad. Step-dad says it was a fight because he told him not to take money from certain people. Mother hasn't said anything on the issue.

4) Tunsil has a chronic ankle issue.

5) Some scouts rated Stanley better than Tunsil. So if the ratings are close and you are looking for things to choose one or the other, you have a lot of character questions about Tunsil who seemed to be more upset that his account got hacked than the fact that he was stupid enough to do something like he did (smoke weed through a bong & gas mask, and communicate on his personal phone asking for money from college coaches) and Stanley is clean as a whistle. Stanley also comes off as very intelligent, where Tunsil's vocabulary seems to consist of mainly, "Ya know, at the end of the day, man."

7) Tunsil is struggling to beat out one of the worst guards in the NFL for a starting job, but is going to be handed the job no matter what because he's a first round pick.

This is irrelevant.  It's not like he pushed Nkemdiche out the window and almost every kid in college has been in a room/apartment that had drugs present.

I have no issue with a son coming to the defense of his mother.  I would look at him differently if he didn't do anything.

I've been in college and I even played football and I wasn't in a room that had drugs present. It is very relevant when you consider the bong video as well. It shows that he hasn't grown up or matured and he hasn't put his drug issues behind him. It shows what his character is like and that's a big deal when you're planning on making the guy your franchise LT and pay him millions upon millions of dollars.

Perhaps you didn't read that other comment right. HE claims it was to break up a fight between his mother and his step-dad. The step-dad said it was a fight between him and Laremy over improper money...which also turns out to be true, he's taken money in college and admitted to it. The Mother has said absolutely nothing to clear her son. And the step-dad is currently starting a case to sue Laremy over the issue. I don't have an issue about standing up and protecting your mother. I do have an issue about lying about an incident.

The guy is a train wreck waiting to happen.

If you were in college and attended any type of room party or house party, trust me there were drugs there.  Just b/c you didn't see them doesn't mean there were not present.

Whether he makes the team or not, you gotta like his attitude. We desperately need hitters on defense. Namby pamby doesn;t cut it in the NFL. As evidenced last year, we have no playmakers. Ed Reed and Ray Lewis were playmakers. No one hits hard enough to create turnovers. Just look at the meager stats. I wish this guy well.

Maybe it is because I didn't associate with that culture? You know you do have that choice. Some people just make very bad decisions. This is probably why nobody I associate with ever fell out of a 4th story apartment building.

Sorry dude, but all cultures and type of folks do drugs.  If you seriously think that every party you went to there wasn't a SINGLE person at that party that doesn't smoke weed or do some type of drug, you need to wake up.
