Should have used grass all along... might have cut down on a few injured players as well. Grass was installed when the stadium was built... wonder why they ever went with plastic??

A handful of rookies looked very amped up last night. Chris Matthews & Correa really stick'd out. The grass looks great.

When the stadium was first built they also tried to market it as a multi-venue arena. They were pro concerts and such. Normal grass would have gotten destroyed while all the equipment was being rolled over it and stages being built upon it.

Now that the Ravens can stand on their own a bit more, they don't need to rent the arena in the off season for extra money.

Now there might be less injuries.

It is a possibility. Grass is softer and gives under the pressure of cleats digging in. "Juice" already stated how his knees weren't sore like they usually are after running around on turf. That's one of the main complaints about turf is that it is hard on the joints. There is also the argument that the stuff under the turf is hard and a lot of the concussions you see in the league are actually being caused not from the initial hit, but the rebound of the head bouncing off the turf after the tackle.

Webby popped one of his knees when he tried to stop too quickly on the artificial turf a few years back. I remember seeing it and almost barfing at the sight. It was terrible!
