A return of "Organized Chaos"?

Im not saying thats what was behind Rex Ryan's "organized chaos" which isnt even really a thing - it was just a term coined to describe it.

All im saying is that the chaos in this defense will come from that aspect - the multiplicity of personnel.

In fact, the Ravens defense as still being referred to as "organized chaos" in 2010, and at that time the term more referred to our hybrid 3-4 and 4-3 looks. http://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/2010/4/9/1412079/football-101-the-ravens-hybri

The Redskins 'organized chaos' described here - http://www.redskins.com/news-and-events/article-1/Terrance-Knighton-Redskins’-Defense-‘Organized-Chaos’/9fddf9c2-8bfc-4983-9b14-0e2c462ad96f

Organized chaos is not a type of defense or any particular aspect of a defense.

I know lol I didn't mean much by it I'm just saying that as ravens fans we remember what our defense looked like when we coined that term, and it is very far from anything we see in the current NFL.

Well it came off as a retort that i didnt know what organized chaos was.

The poster i quoted seemed to be saying that we would go back to organized chaos, the rex version.

And I responded by saying the "chaos" on this d will come from.... never even used the term organized chaos for this exact reason. So, was simply pointing out that not only do i know what rex's "O.C." was, that i wasnt calling being multiple "O.C.", but even if i had that there have been several defensive systems and packages called "O.C" throughout the years including Dean Pees having an "O.C" package with the Patriots where he used 5 LBs and 6 DBs.... so that he could use them in basically any front and coverage combo without changing personnel (very similar to my concept) - its hardly something unique to Rex's defense.

I didn't mean for it to come off any way. Just saying what comes to mind for me when I hear organized chaos and how the first thought is rexs defense with the ravens, to me its the most chaotic style of defense I've ever seen so it feels like the best example to me, and being a ravens fan who watched it, it is the first thing that comes to mind. I know there's many styles of it, I just think that one really exemplifies it is all

Suggs gets injured before the season even starts, Lewis gets injured in season, Suggs gets injured again, McClain got injured (right? The spinal injury?), Jimmy got injured, Ngata got injured and left in the SB, pretty sure Reed had a torn shoulder labrum, Webb went to IR in like week 5.

Stuff like this is why I end up defending Pees more than I'd like to.  I can't recall a Ravens DC who had a defense as consistently injured as Pees.  2011, 2008, 2006, 2003, and 2000 Ravens defenses all feature a common theme.  Relatively good health by the starters

Not to mention extremely high level players and Ray Lewis
