The combo with Pitta/Gillmore/Max has the potential to be great. But the entire offensive unit needs to be on the same page as well.

Not to mention Ben Watson, who we signed in case Pitta and Gillmore were not be ready to play after surgery.

I am really pulling for Dennis Pitta. He is an amazing talent and it was e xtremely unfortunate for him to have those devastating injuries just as he was emerging to become a super star. For his sake I sincerely hope that hip is 100% and that he never, ever has another issue with it. This is why it is kind of bittersweet. As much as I would love to see him making great catches again, I'll always be holding my breath because I don't want to see him laying on the turf again with a leg snapped in half. So yeah Dennis, we're all concerned about you. As much as we love you being a Raven, we worry about you as a person and want you to be healthy for the rest of your life. I give him all the credit in the world for being out on that field again. I suppose we all as fans just have to trust him that he knows his body better than we do, that the doctors have all dotted their i's and crossed their t's on him and that he'll be just fine.

Pitta doesn't have to worry about Gillmore for a while. He's down with a calf injury that's gonna require an MRI....so, 2 days in and 2 guys down (Dixon and Gillmore). Deja vu all over again.

I do like Dennis Pitta but he has missed two years of contact, let's see if he feels the same after being knocked around. I like the swagger, though.

Seems our best blocking te's are either hurt or suspended

Watson is regarded as a fairly good blocker.

No offense, but we should've cut ties with Pitta and just moved on- we already have 30 tight ends on this team

Gilmore could be a solid player(MRI yesterday) Max still learning(and he can and will learn a lot from Watson and Pitta) Boyle gone for 10 games(is this an ongoing situation with him) Watson a solid veteran signing, Waller out for the first four games and questionable if he even makes the team. If Pitta pulls this off he will be a solid contributor to our offense. Who are the 24 that I'm missing?

If Pitta somehow came back 100% and balled after everyone counted him out... What a story that would be.

I'm pulling for him as well. And yes, what a story that would be during the Super Bowl pregame show.

We will be literally holding our breaths when Pitta is on the field! It was an awkward pass that pulled his hip back out hopefully things will work out better since he and Joe are besties! Oh yeah a Troll never looked this good! Me a Troll?! Lol

That would be extremely unwise in my opinion with the way things have been unraveling.

Are you talking about the Jake Long fiasco? Maybe you're right- things aren't looking that smooth as of late.

But if he does come back and contribute then he could prove to be our best TE once again. Why is that such a bad thing?

Well 2 of them are suspended , 1 is on the PUP and the other is barely 21 years old. Not to mention so far he's been outplaying them all. His rapport and chemistry with joe is extremely valuable. If his hip pops out anytime during the season then income Waller or insert Boyle back into the lineup. No harm done. May be a risk for pitta personally but he's a grown man and doesn't seem too worried about it. He's picking up right where he left off. I can smell Comeback player of the year .

My boy Pitta runs some crisp routes and catches everything thrown around him. If he stays healthy, none of those guys is beating him to the starting job.

It will be interesting to see what happens. Watson is def not getting cut and if Pitta keeps playing well he is not going anywhere either. Now we have Crockett, who is a beast and we can't get rid of our second round pick in Max Williams, and if thats the case Boyle played better than him, so it is going to be interesting to see where everyone ends up.

I'll never forget that contested and tough grab you made over the middle vs Denver a few years back. I think it was on a 3rd and 25 or something of the sort and such a crucial point of the game. Its plays like that we miss. Hopefully your healthy and stay healthy beyond your football life

I am glad he is doing well, but I still have my doubts that his injury won't return, this time with everlasting effects. Wish him well, but wish he had erred on the side of caution and retired.
