If you had to make 2 improvements at M&T bank stadium what would they be?

The grass so our players don't crumble to the ground with injuries. Done

A trap door like Tucker feel in at San Fran last year use that on the visiting teams kickers

a guaranteed win every time we step on the field except when we play the Redskins because we win the Super Bowl every time we lose to them.

honestly I love M&T

I remember, on your last point, that for like four or five years, the team that played the Eagles in week 2 went on to win the Super Bowl

Yeah We win the Super Bowl when we lose to them in both 2000 and 2012 as horrible as Redskin fans are I could deal with it as long as we have that Lombardi trophy.

Yep. It died with us. I legit thought the chargers were gonna win it all in 13, and they got hot in the playoffs vs Denver in the 4th and if they could have prevented a 3rd and 18 conversion they had a real chance to win... Then Denver converted it, I was kinda bummed that such a streak died.

And it was the Philly home opener, not week 2

1.Raise Parking fees to pay for this

2.Raise the meter rates as well

3. Add $3 more to start cab meters (city cabs only)

Its comfortable ride you don't even have to walk a long ways and if its raining you wont be wet that bad.

Which would not be start, because now you would be raising prices for people who don't use the Light Rail in order to pay for something that they don't use.

1. Escalators!!! Most stadiums have these. Even those older than M&T or built around the same time.

2. More restrooms. I sit in section 536. You can miss significant game time if you need to use the restroom.

Theres dozens of parking garages all over that city. My idea mono rail connects all those garages taking you to the stadium and taking you back to those garages eliminates parking problems and you wouldn't have to walk far to stadium and its good for business people too or if you work in downtown you wont have any trouble to park.

So you're building a rail system specifically to connect parking garages to stadium structures? What problem does that solve? People would still have to use the parking garages, as the majority of people who work in major cities don't live in them. How are they going to get from their house to work?

In your scenario, they drive to the garage, and a rail system takes them to their work? How is that more efficient or cost effective?

Also, if you notice, there's really no rail system in this country that does what you just described. The best rail systems have maybe a few dozen stops over the course of a much larger metropolitan area, and many of them drop off at heavily populated sections of the area, not just at individual parking garages. You'd have to devise a rail system that literally went to every single garage in a metropolitan area, with probably a hundred stops.

That would make the rail system slower than it is now (and that's really hard to do).

This. It's a struggle to go all the way up.

Actually I heard on another board, owner Steve Bisciotti wants them too, but don't expect them until a replacement for the current stadium in 2028.   It just too hard at the current location where they would have to renovate the side entrances.    I also found out there weren't upper level escalators because Art Modell had trouble maintaining them at Cleveland Municipal Stadium which the plumbing was so bad  they had porta potties on some parts of the concourse.

About building a new stadium there might be some potential options:
1. Renovate the current location and play home games at Camden Yards while they're doing it or FedExField.
2. Build it in one of the other parking lots, then tear down the current location when finished.
3. If it happens get ready to buy new PSLs.

There are garages are not full. Mono rail is slow but it also solves the parking problems. Theres a garage 10 blocks away from M&T Bank and thats not even full on game day. If you take cheaper parking garages you'll save money instead paying $30 just to go to a game

It doesn't matter if they are full or not. Some are full, some aren't. You have to have excess parking available for special events anyway.

Your mono rail solution doesn't solve any problems, because it doesn't stop people from parking on gamedays. The people using parking garages for special events aren't people who live in the city... there's many other methods they can use to get to the game.

The light rail is a way for people living outside the city, in certain areas, to get to the city cheaply and inefficiently. Having the light rail connect to parking garages in the city doesn't make any sense, because you're not solving the problem of people driving into the city.

Unfortunately other rivals teams come to Ravens park, but not as many & M&T than at other teams stadium, especially our neighbors 30 miles south.

That being said, I'd like to have Steelers and Pats fans relegated to the back door.  We certainly shouldn't allow them in the same entrance we go into

TV's on urinals would only cause traffic and guys standing at the urinals. terrible idea. We need some updated yardage numerals and more seats.

If they can't put 500 leave escalators at M&T then at least install defibrillators on the walls of the upstairs, you don't want someone dying like in Carolina.

M&T is an effective and efficient stadium with good sight lines. That being said its kind of ugly and boring. Nothing like the unique beauty of camden yards. I dont think they can really change m&t to improve this but when they do the rebuild i hope they design something unique, the type of stadium that you recognize at a glance.

I used to have upper reserve tickets and gave them up because I preferred watching on the big screen tv . I missed too much of the game .

Do they still have very few replays on the big screens? That's what I wanted was a lot of replays on the big screens

They have incredible replays on the giant screens, including 360 degree views.  During reviews, we get to see what the official sees.  You don't get that at home.

Well early on at M& T I don't recall seeing anything like that . A few replays but not many .

Did they put in new screens since the early days ?

I've sat in a lot of different locations in M and T, 6 years center end zone 5 rows from the field where you can hear the hits loud and clear.  Nothing replicates the excitement of being at the stadium, but no matter where you sit you don't get all the angles like on TV.

The food. The food on the general concourse is awful. The prices are standard (high) like every other stadium, with the exception of the few that have recently dropped them.  But the quality sucks.  Hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken patties?  Can't we get a little more creative

I had an excellent (and quite large) pit beef sandwich Saturday.  They also had pit turkey and crab cakes at that stand.  Other stands had pulled pork.  There's a lot of variety.  Maybe you need to look around a little more.

The Tailgater is pretty creative.

From today's Baltimore Sun

Quote

The Ravens propose to update 18-year-old M&T Bank Stadium with $110 million in improvements, including large new video boards, new corner suites, and escalators and elevators so fans would no longer need to walk to the upper level.

Details of the planned improvements were contained in a Maryland Stadium Authority document obtained in a public records request and confirmed by the Ravens.

Some of the renovations — including replacing the east and west video screens with larger boards, upgrading concessions spaces and adding a "ribbon board" encircling the upper level — already have been approved by the stadium authority and are to be completed during the upcoming offseason.

The team and the authority are still discussing the other enhancements, which could come over the next three years. These include adding escalators and elevators, and building suites in each of the four corner notches of the upper bowl, according to a written agreement between the authority and the team.

Did they finally get TVs by the smoking areas yet? That was my biggest complaint.

As for the escalator argument, I've always said it would take away from the looks of the stadium, not to mention there's already elevators. Maybe post a guard and only let on those "needing" the ride. There's ramps, if you're in good shape but too lazy to walk up them that tough. The elevators should be for the elderly or handicapped.

I agree when I smoked, I wanted tv's in the smoking areas as well but, they haven't had smoking areas for a couple years now in the stadium. Smoking is permitted outside the stadium in designated areas now away from the building.

Why not make express security checks just like the airports do? Like have Gate C  for Season Ticket holders only. But Season ticket holders will need to buy a special tag ID for less security check. In order to get those ID tags you must be a Ravens season ticket holder for 5 years or more and the tag has your drivers license number. Show your ID tag with your license and you wont go though searches.

I got an idea, perhaps leave a couple of ramps and steps for health fanatics on one side and escalators on other.   While your at it, how about removing the ones on the club level.   Double standard.   I had a Judge who ran in Marathons on the east coast have a heart attack, so did Jim Fixx one of the experts on the subject had one too, and remember someone died of a coronary at Bank of America stadium, they put them in next season.
