And I think Webb playing safety now will be a pretty good move too. I hope Wright can pick up where he left off last season. If all things things hold true, the secondary should be a lot better than it was last year. I think the Frazier addition is a big move as well.

Absolutely, and if we get that pass rush ramped up... :06:

I am not as sure about that. It will really depend on what Suggs can still do. If he is still Sizzle then that should in turn help Dumervil return to his disruptive self. Not sure what Correa is yet. Don't know if Z.Smith is ready to step up or not, but if he does that could be huge for us. I don't think we got any help in this area on the D-line. I don't see Kaufusi putting up better numbers than Lawrence Guy. Have to see if Jernigan finally emerges or if Carl Davis and Brent Urban can step up. Still a lot of questions here.

Yup, a lot depends on suggs (gut feeling says he'll have a great season) and I'm thinking Z Smith replaces upshaws who rarely got pressure. And I'm expecting an improved interior pass rush also

I can't wait for FOOTBALL. I am usually going to watch pre season games anyway just because. But usually I am not THIS fired up for it. I guess after a terrible season where I personally think it was a lot of bad luck as opposed to a severe lack of talent (save for the secondary, a lot of people were disappointed the Ravens did virtually nothing to upgrade the position in the off season) I am curious to see how guys look and to get a peek at some of our very promising draft picks. I know you can't take too much out of pre season games because teams are not running their real offenses or defenses. But if a guy is constantly showing up or constantly being blown out of plays I think that tells you something.

Unfortunately, we haven't been winners as of late, but I think we'll be competitive in the 2017 or 2018 season- that's when we make the playoffs again. I hope Weddle's is as good as advertised- seemed like we might have overpaid for an aging vet, Oz

Well, if we overpaid I hate to see what you thought of the other teams who offered him more money but he chose the Ravens because of their winning tradition. Weddle came here because he thought this time was right for a strong playoff run for the Ravens. Steelers offered him more and if you believe the pundits, the Steelers could win the division and the Ravens finish third. However, Weddle thinks differently about that and because he actually plays the game, studies it intensely and knows more than the pundits and people who comment on websites, so no offense, but I will buy into Weddle's belief on the Ravens chances at a playoff over the pundits and what you believe.

Might have something to do with the fact that while Flacco has been under center this team has only seen two seasons that they didn't have a winning record. One was right after they won the superbowl which saw the departures of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed along with Anquan Boldin. Lots of roster turnover and still the team went 8-8. They come back to go 10-6 and go to the playoffs again.

Last year was the second year and it was a complete trainwreck of a season due to numerous injuries. Based on the track record of this team, they're going to have a winning season and get back to the playoffs this season as long as they stay healthy. I am sure that is what Weddle is seeing and I think he can be a big part of the resurgence of this team.
