a quick note: if you want to convey the message "Wallace's failed conditioning tst is not a problem" - don't have a third of the article on it. That makes it seem like you're trying very hard to convince us. No need. It's not a biggie, period.

So, am I understanding this right? Long came in and saw our doctors and they suggested he go back to Dr. Andrews because it didn't look right or is this Long's decision to go see him just to make sure he is good to go? Makes a difference I think.

Bio or Mcjacket- I'm sure you have the answer to this.

I'm not making a big deal out of it... but...

Its at least slightly disappointing that a WR known for speed and being in pretty good shape fails the test.

Lineman failing the test? Completely expected. Guy recovering from an injury and hasn't been able to get in the shape he needs to be? Completely expected.

Not a big deal, but just a bit disappointing.

first off I would LOVE to know what the conditioning test consists of and 2nd, just becuz youre fast doesn't mean you have all that much stamina. Wallace has been in the weight room and has been working on his speed but that doesn't mean hes ready for the Ravens conditioning test. I'm also sure you kinda have to know how to pace urself yet maintain speed with the RAVENS test.

O there's no question that our conditioning test is tough. Players fail it every year. I'm just saying that, generally speaking, its from players that you would expect to fail (i.e. injured players who have recovered).

Below is a link to a description of the test. Its basically 900 yards of sprints, broken into chunks with certain key metrics. This was from 2012, so possible its been modified since then.

Not sure if this has been confirmed but its rumored Wallace just failed a second time. Kenneth Dixon also just went down with an injury. No word on if its serious.

It has begun.

I think last years predictions of the Ravens being in the big game was not that far off. You can say I drink the purple kool-aid but did all the pundits who made that same prediction. The loss of Suggs who without a doubt is the leader of the team and a critical component of the rush with Dumervil was a much bigger deal than anyone gave it credit for. With the development that occurred last year in a bad year and with the addition of needed pieces I think they are better aligned to produce a year like 2012 than they have been since 2012. Our schedule is favorable, the qbs that we face are not that good beyond Brady and Ben, our secondary was very good in the second half of last year but by then we had lost our QB. I think we will rock the league and be at least a 9-7 probably a 10-6 and make the playoffs. The pieces are there but the critical component is depth. We finally have players who will be on the bench who could start on other teams.

Well we did come two missed catches away from beating the eventual Superbowl champs In week 1. But a lot changes throughout the course of a year and some teams are able to overcome injuries and have better depth. Its a Marathon.

Most MSM media outlets promote negative news to the point where we are conditioned to always look for the negative. Life is so much better when you look for the positives in it.

That SSR tweet gets me excited. I can't wait to watch the IDGF tour in action. What a beast.

Mike Wallace: Not concerned about this. Guys have failed it in the past and I while it isn't a perfect situation a guy new to the team and not familiar with how rough a Ravens conditioning test is could fail it. I will be worried if a few more weeks go by and he still hasn't passed it. THEN it is an issue. Webb said after his failed one that he tried to run it all out at 100% speed. There is as much a technique to passing it as it is being in shape. It is like a boxer. You can have the most fit boxer in the ring and if he throws 100 punches with max effort in the first round he will gas himself out.

Jake Long: Hoping he gets a clean bill of healthy from James Andrews. No use speculating or worrying about that until we hear something.

Ken Dixon: Hope it is just as not serious as we're being told. Report is a grade 1 MCL strain...which is the lowest level you can get. Strains have 3 grades and the 3rd one is the worst one you can get before you actually have a tear.

2 new guys: Camp bodies.

Devin Hester: He'd be a nice fallback option if Campanaro gets injured again and can't play, we see the Reynolds just isn't ready for the job, and we already know Kaelin Clay doesn't offer anything on offense and is strictly a return man. At that point you have to evaluate whether Clay offers more than Hester. If those are my last two options then I certainly bring Hester in and see how he looks.

Former Ravens finding work: Good for them, but I don't really care. Good luck with your new teams. I hope if the Ravens face your new teams that we win.

How good can the Ravens be: I am drinking some kool aid but if this team can stay healthy I think they can be 10-6 and looking at a wild card spot or perhaps win the division. Steelers have some issues this year, Browns are a joke, so the only competition is the Bengals this year.

Watch Marlon Brown be a Pro Bowler now that he's reunited with Kubs- just like Foresett (who hasn't done a whole lot since Kub/ and his system left Balt)
