13 posts in this topic

The Ravens linebacker said it won’t be long until he’s back on the practice field, and he’s fighting the urge to jump on the field at the start of camp. After nearly a year away from football, he feels like ‘Sizzle’ again.

One things for sure: Suggs sounded and seemed much more energized and motivated - much more positive than this time last season. And that's great news.

Was thinking the same thing, a motivated suggs looking to prove the nay sayers wrong... Man, I can't wait till football.

Now I gotta look at the other thread to see how many days we have left lol

With Suggs, it's not just about numbers or stats, it's everything he brings to the plate. Last year showed that. He was missed.

I was waiting for this first press conference because it was a bit strange that he was unusually quiet up until this point. I am happy to hear his comments. The fact that he still loves football, that he still sounds very hungry, and especially the one about the injury. Not timid, but also not to be stupid about it. Take care of it like you should and then come back when everything is ready.

As another poster said it isn't all about the numbers with Sizzle. He is the last Mohican of the Ray Lewis era. He is the identity and personality of the defense. One thing the Ravens need to do is find not only a statistical replacement for him when he does finally decide to walk away from the game, but also a replacement character.

Weddle might be able to help fill that role while he's here, but so far I really don't see anyone else that might be able to adopt the identity of the defense.

Ravens football isn't Ravens football without T-Sizzle. One more true Terrell Suggs type of year please! Don't even have to have 15 sacks. Just impact the game and organization like we're used to. We need you if we're going all the way. And yeah yeah, I know all of you negative or "realistic" "fans" that'll get on the last statement. But if we're 100% healthy, or close, which is a big IF. I think we have as good of a chance as anymore, and probably better really, to raise the Lombardi Trophy again this season than anyone else.

"Entering the 2016 season, however, critics are quick to point out that Suggs will turn 34 in October with two Achilles surgeries on his medical report."

They are quick to point out a lot of things, but not as quick as Suggs coming around the corner this year. There definitely is a sense of urgency wth Suggs and Dumervil as they know they are closing in on their last couple years. Doom wants his first and Suggs wants his second. Anyway you look at it Ravens fans want their third and what a way to do it. Just like 2012 when after we lost to the patriots in the AFC championship in 2011 and they said the Ravens, behind Ray Lewis, were too old and too slow. Now we look at a 5-11 2015 and I can think of no greater motivation to get back on top and shock the world. In my mind, this is a SHOCK THE WORLD year.

Here we go again. People said Ray was too old blaw , blaw, blaw, People NEVER take in account that guys like Suggs , Ray and Bolden have more knowledge and experience that more than make up for any "degraded" player crap. Suggs will be fine. LEAST of the Ravens worries.

Totally agree. Btw, I think it's blah blah blah unless that's some ravens slang (if so, I'm liking it)

I couldn't agree more. Thanks for being optimistic and not pessimistic!
