We can afford the luxury of being really diligent... he's not imperative to get - just like Trent Richardson wasn't imperative to get back in the spring. That "wait-and-see game" played out well, let's hope this one will, too.

Anybody see this guy when he was healthy? If he really is healthy there is no way he is a back up.

A little troubling that he's getting another look at the knee but for the Ravens it is better to be safe than sorry. I hope everything checks out and Long is as healthy as he says he is. It might be a stretch but perhaps he could start at LT and Stanley could slide over to LG for a season just to get his feet wet in the NFL and not have to worry about protecting the blindside as a rookie. I don't think that is how it will play out. Stanley will be given every chance to be the starting LT. It is nice to have a guy like Long as a fall back option though. He's definitely an upgrade over anyone we have for depth at LT.
