7 posts in this topic

After tearing his ACL last season, the quarterback will take every precaution available to protect himself. He also said his next goal is to be as healthy as possible for Week 1, not the first preseason game.

Wanna take every precaution? Never put Hurst on the left side ever again.

With the potential long signing... Hurst's agent may want to start making some calls

Joe just being the usual prudent Joe we've known him all to be. Makes sense to me to try to protect the knee and even if it is just a mental thing to feel safer knowing it is there then all the better for it. I saw a post on PFT stating that Joe was never really a threat to run anyway. That's not exactly true. Flacco could run and be surprisingly good at it when he wanted to. The last part of that sentence in the important part. He knew the QB's don't win in the NFL by pretending to be runningbacks and they win with their arms. He could run more, but he chooses not to. In fact he averaged about 35-40 rushes a season.

It will be good to see Flacco back under center again and I am really looking forward to this season. There is a lot of room for improvement and there are a lot of new pieces to look at.

If Flacco going to avoid the pre-season games then he'll never be ready for this season, another dismal year coming up, opposing pass rushers will smother him, what other QB do we have available....A Brady or Roethlisberger or even a Rodger he's not.....

Well, you just named the three best QB's in the league. We know Joe will never be close to them, with his 84.7 lifetime rating. I believe he was rated no. 25 QB this year, which seems about right. However, we've seen he is a serviceable QB though, and EXHIBITION games are pretty much worthless. He's played in them for eight years, and it hasn't really improved his play during the regular season. Maybe if he skips them this year, he could actually have his first Pro Bowl type season.
